Bitcoin [BTC] is likely to experience a bearish second half of the year 2026. It was already battling at the $60k psychological level. There was reason to believe that the 3.1% price bounce of the past 24 hours was driven more by deleveraging than by aggressive spot buying.

Crypto analyst Axel Adler Jr. explained this idea in a post on X. The idea aligned with the broader onchain metrics, which suggested we have not reached conditions that mirror historical cycle bottoms but are just on the way there.

Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, appears to have breached the MPs’ disclosure rules. In other words, Farage did not disclose substantial financial support from George Cottrell.

For context, Cottrell was a convicted fraudster who operated an offshore cryptocurrency gambling platform. According to The Sunday Times, ahead of Farage’s July 2024 election as MP for Clacton, Cottrell allegedly covered expenses for his private security, drivers, and lodging. He also financed support staff, including those managing his social media and office operations.
For perspective, according to UK parliamentary regulations, newly elected Members of Parliament must disclose any benefits exceeding £300 that they received in the year before their election. However, this applies only when the benefits are somehow related to their political activities.

These regulations aim to maintain openness and make it possible for the public to see who might have given politicians financial support. However, Farage failed to reveal the wider financial support. But he did report a £9,253 trip to Belgium and a subsequent £15,276 flight donation paid for by Cottrell.

That said, Cottrell’s past adds weight to the controversy. This is because he was convicted of wire fraud in a money-laundering sting and served eight months in a U.S. prison. Since then, he has been connected to Tether.bet, an offshore cryptocurrency gambling site. The platform allegedly accepted sizable bets in Bitcoin [BTC] and cash, including USDT.

Securitize has emerged as one of the largest infrastructure providers for the tokenization market, helping asset managers issue traditional securities on blockchain rails. Founded in 2017, the company provides issuance, transfer agency and fund administration services for tokenized securities, with clients including BlackRock, Apollo, KKR, Hamilton Lane and VanEck.The firm has issued roughly $4.4 billion in tokenized assets, including BlackRock's $2.2 billion tokenized U.S. Treasury money market fund BUIDL and nearly $300 million of tokenized Securitize shares, making it the largest tokenized asset issuer, according to RWA.xyz.

The firm is not interested in buying rivals, Domingo said. "They’re not going to bring anything to me that I don’t have in terms of tech."Instead, Domingo said Securitize is looking at businesses that complement its institutional tokenization offering, aiming to build a broader "one-stop shop" for customers.

"We’re going to look at what things are adjacent to tokenization that either our existing customers from the tokenization space," he said
