SecondFi (Formerly Yoroi Wallet) Hack Losses May Exceed 129 Million ADAEMURGO-backed wallet provider SecondFi is facing growing scrutiny after a major security breach, as new analysis indicates that losses suffered by Cardano users may be significantly higher than initially reported.

While the company previously estimated that the attack resulted in the theft of 16 million ADA, blockchain investigators now believe the total impact exceeds 129 million ADA and other tokens.

It is worth noting that SecondFi was previously known as Yoroi Wallet, the first Cardano light wallet launched in 2018 by EMURGO, one of Cardano’s founding entities. In April 2026, EMURGO rebranded Yoroi as SecondFi and expanded it from a single-chain Cardano light wallet into a comprehensive “neo-finance” application.

USDC and USDT Supply Both Contracted This Week as Stablecoin Bills Dominate HeadlinesThe two largest stablecoins shed supply over the past seven days, even as legislative tailwinds and a steady drumbeat of institutional partnerships pushed stablecoins to the front of the policy conversation.

$USDC circulating supply fell 0.7% over the trailing week, from $75.08 billion to about $74.6 billion, per DefiLlama. Tether's $USDT slipped 0.1% in the same window, from $186.49 billion to roughly $186.3 billion. Both majors contracted at once, the directional opposite of what a regulation-driven expansion would produce. The pullback is small in percentage terms, but it lands against a backdrop of headlines treating stablecoin legislation as a growth catalyst.

Float Versus Headlines

The qualitative pipeline reads bullish. The Senate has been weighing the CLARITY Act, the GENIUS stablecoin framework is law, and the Bank of England published draft rules for systemic stablecoins this month. Mastercard opened its card-settlement network to stablecoins across eight blockchains, and Japan's three megabanks formed joint stablecoin council.

None of that has translated into net new issuance from the two assets that account for the bulk of the market. $USDC and $USDT together hold roughly $261 billion in circulating supply, per DefiLlama. The week's institutional activity is concentrated in positioning, partnerships, and rails, rather than aggregate float.

CBOE eyes crypto perpetuals as Kalshi upends futures marketCBOE has begun evaluating a conversion of its Bitcoin and Ether futures into perpetual contracts after crypto perpetuals generated more than $8.5 billion in trading volume on Kalshi within weeks of launch.

According to a June 23 report from The Wall Street Journal, CBOE Global Markets is considering turning its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures into perpetual futures following recent regulatory developments in the United States.

The report cited Rob Hocking, CBOE’s global head of derivatives, who said the exchange is exploring the possibility after the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved cryptocurrency perpetual futures for prediction market operator Kalshi.

While Hocking did not provide a timeline for any changes, the comments place one of the largest U.S. exchange operators among a growing list of firms responding to fresh competition in the perpetual futures market.

CBOE introduced its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts in December, offering products with expirations extending as far as 10 years.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the exchange is now studying whether perpetual contracts could provide an alternative structure following the CFTC’s decision to permit similar products on regulated U.S. venues.

Against this backdrop, Gate’s net flow data indicates that there is selective capital rotation in the altcoin sector rather than a complete exit from the space. Between late 2025 and mid-June 2026, numerous asset classes demonstrated consistent withdrawal-dominant behavior.

When withdrawals occur for extended periods of time, it typically signals investor activity. The nature of this investor activity can vary and may include either selling or simply moving coins.As these outflows continued, the accumulation signals began to grow stronger. On the flip side, Ethereum [ETH], Chainlink [LINK], Uniswap [UNI], and 1Inch [1INCH] were exhibiting higher deposit activity vs. withdrawals.

Therefore, capital appears to be rotating toward selected altcoins rather than supporting the market uniformly. If broader conditions improve, assets already showing sustained outflows could be better positioned to attract speculative demand.

Altcoins show signs of recovery
As capital rotates toward specific altcoins, the decreasing supplies of exchanges have begun to show similar signs of this transition within the broader market.

The Altcoin Cycle Signal has now reached Altcoin Season at 86. This was the highest number it had been since late 2022. Yet, early in 2024 and through early 2025, the signal had mostly stayed under the critical 50 threshold, further indicating that markets were dominated by Bitcoin [
