Ripple announced it has received preliminary approval from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), for a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. This development marks a significant step for the company as it seeks to expand its regulated digital asset services within Europe.

What the Preliminary Approval Means

The preliminary approval signals that Ripple has met the initial regulatory requirements set by the CSSF. Once the company fulfills the remaining conditions to obtain the full license, it will be authorized to offer virtual asset services to financial institutions and businesses across all 30 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA). This includes services related to cryptocurrency custody, exchange, and the transfer of digital assets.

Building on an Existing EU License

Ripple already holds an EU Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, which allows it to issue electronic money and provide payment services. The addition of a CASP license would create a more comprehensive regulatory framework, enabling the company to offer integrated cryptocurrency and stablecoin payment infrastructure. This combination positions Ripple to serve banks, fintech firms, and corporate clients seeking compliant digital asset solutions within the EU’s regulated environment.

Strategic Implications for Ripple and the Market

The approval aligns with Ripple’s broader strategy of pursuing regulatory clarity in key jurisdictions. Price had already broken below key support near $0.199, a zone that previously acted as a floor during recent pullbacks.

With that support invalidated, traders were assessing whether further downside could follow. The answer may depend on what happens over the next 24 hours.

Will the unlock increase selling pressure?

A major unlock event was approaching.

Roughly $36 million worth of new tokens were scheduled to enter circulation within the next day.

Such events often attract market attention because they increase the supply available to trade. That does not always lead to selling.

However, when a token is already under pressure, additional supply can weigh on sentiment.

This partly explains why traders became more cautious around Humanity Protocol’s recent price action. The market was trying to determine whether new tokens would be absorbed by demand or add to selling pressure.
Can the chart recover support?

The chart continued to favor bears.

After losing support at $0.199, Humanity Protocol slipped below several key Exponential Moving Averages. Those levels now act as resistance rather than support.

From a technical perspective, that shift matters.

As long as the price remains below those moving averages, buyers may struggle to regain control. Any recovery attempt would likely need to reclaim them before sentiment begins improving.

For now, momentum continued to point lower.
Are traders expecting more downside?

Interestingly, derivatives traders had not turned aggressively bearish. The token’s Long/Short Ratio stood at 0.9586.

That figure suggested positioning remained relatively balanced, although shorts still held a slight advantage.

Zcash miner Fortitude grabs Nasdaq route through HeartSciences dealZcash miner Fortitude Mining Holdings has secured a path to the public markets through an all-stock merger with HeartSciences, a transaction that will place the crypto mining company on the Nasdaq without a traditional IPO.

According to a joint announcement released Tuesday, Fortitude and HeartSciences have agreed to combine in a deal that will leave Fortitude's management team in control of the merged company. The business is expected to operate under the Fortitude name and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol TUDE, subject to regulatory approvals.

Under the terms of the transaction, existing HeartSciences shareholders will retain a minority ownership stake. HeartSciences, which develops Al-powered cardiac diagnostic technologies, will continue operating under the leadership of chief executive Andrew Simpson.

Explaining the decision, Simpson said the merger would help remove what he described as the "constant cycle of raising capital" while offering what the company believes is the most favorable outcome for shareholders.

Although the two companies operate in unrelated industries, the structure effectively gives Fortitude access to public equity markets through an already listed Nasdaq company.

According to a June 23 report from The Wall Street Journal, CBOE Global Markets is considering turning its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures into perpetual futures following recent regulatory developments in the United States.

The report cited Rob Hocking, CBOE's global head of derivatives, who said the exchange is exploring the possibility after the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved cryptocurrency perpetual futures for prediction market operator Kalshi.

While Hocking did not provide a timeline for any changes, the comments place one of the largest U.S. exchange operators among a growing list of firms responding to fresh competition in the perpetual futures market.

CBOE introduced its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts in December, offering products with expirations extending as far as 10 years.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the exchange is now studying whether perpetual contracts could provide an alternative structure following the CFTC's decision to permit similar products on regulated U.S. venues.
