SpaceX's $600 billion plunge erased nearly half of bitcoin's market cap in three days.SpaceX's stock has lost more than $600 billion in market value over three trading days, which is nearly half of bitcoin's $1.3 trillion market cap, after announcing its first bond sale.

Bitcoin fell less than 1% over the same stretch, holding near $63,600, per CoinDesk data.

The stock dropped 16% on Monday to $154.60, its lowest since its June 12 debut, taking its three-day decline to about 23%. The trigger was supposedly plan to sell at least $20 billion of bonds, the company's first time borrowing in the debt markets, to fund the artificial-intelligence buildout it took on when it bought Elon Musk's xAl in February.

SpaceX chose to borrow rather than issue new shares, which would have diluted existing holders. A week ago it, was worth nearly $2.5 trillion and had briefly passed Amazon and Microsoft but now sits just above $2 trillion.

The selling ran into Tuesday, with a perpetual futures contract that tracks SpaceX on Hyperliquid down another 15% to around $151.

Part of the move is structure. SpaceX trades on a thin float, meaning only a small share of its stock is available to trade, so each move is amplified and the 16% single-session drop on a single headline reflects that thinness.

Bitcoin's market is far deeper and more liquid, which is part of why it took the same week in stride

SBI-Backed Gumi Plans to Become Japan’s Largest XRP Treasury Company, Consolidates $86M Crypto Holdings Into XRP
Japanese gaming and blockchain company gumi Inc. has announced plans to become Japan’s largest XRP treasury company. 

The firm is restructuring its crypto strategy around XRP and expanding its partnership with the SBI Group.

The move has attracted attention within the XRP community. Observers point to the influence of SBI and its chairman, Yoshitaka Kitao, in supporting companies that actively manage XRP treasuries.

According to gumi’s financial results presentation for the fiscal year ended April 2026, the company plans to reorganize its digital asset business and make XRP its primary crypto holding.

As of April 30, 2026, gumi held about 14 billion yen ($86 million) in cryptocurrencies. Previously, the company maintained exposure to multiple crypto assets and earned returns mainly through staking.

However, lower yields across the crypto market have made that strategy less attractive. To improve efficiency, gumi plans to gradually convert more of its holdings into XRP. The company may also acquire additional XRP depending on market conditions.

Gumi stated that its goal is to become Japan’s largest holder and operator of XRP.

The company does not plan to simply hold XRP. It intends to actively manage its treasury using derivatives, including covered call options.

Under this strategy, gumi would hold XRP while selling call options at predetermined price levels. This allows the company to collect option premiums and generate recurring income. It may also help reduce the impact of market volatility.

The presentation also referenced an SBI-backed crypto fund strategy that could include ETFs and other digital asset investment products.

Ripple Price Analysis: The Daily Chart

On the daily timeframe, $XRP continues to trade within a broad descending channel and remains below both the 100- and 200-day moving averages. The recent rebound stalled beneath the 100-day MA and the lower boundary of the highlighted resistance zone around $1.28 to $1.35, reinforcing the bearish higher-timeframe structure.

The most recent development is the rejection from that resistance area and the subsequent move back toward the $1.07 to $1.15 demand zone. This support region has repeatedly attracted buyers throughout June and remains the most important level on the chart.

As long as $XRP holds above this zone, the market may continue consolidating within its current range. However, a decisive breakdown below $1.07 would expose the previous swing low and significantly increase the probability of another leg lower.

On the upside, buyers must reclaim the $1.28 to $1.35 resistance area before any meaningful trend reversal can be considered.
