Bitcoin Rose Yesterday, Fell Today! What’s the Reason for the Drop? What Can Be Expected for the BTC Price Next? Two Analysis Companies Reveal!The declines seen in US stocks yesterday were first reflected in Asian markets this morning. Chip manufacturers, in particular, experienced sharp sell-offs, and these declines caused Bitcoin to fall to $62,000 and gold to drop to $4,100 per ounce.

While Bitcoin remains above the $62,000 level, analysis firm QCP Capital predicts that BTC and the cryptocurrency market will continue to move within a certain range.

QCP Capital analysts stated that Bitcoin’s recent rise above $65,000 was due to Strategy’s additional Bitcoin purchases. Yesterday, Strategy bought another 520 Bitcoin, increasing its cash reserves by $300 million to $1.4 billion.

However, it was noted that liquidity concerns have eased as the timeframe for Strategy to raise funds for dividend payments has been extended to approximately 10 months.

Nevertheless, the overall outlook for risky assets like Bitcoin remains mixed. Therefore, Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market are expected to continue trading sideways for now.

According to QCP, ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties, such as tensions between the US and Iran, continuing market concerns regarding MicroStrategy’s STRC perpetual preferred stock issuance, and the hawkish stance of the new Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh, are negatively impacting investor sentiment.

Finally, the firm analyzed that Bitcoin needs a combination of positive macroeconomic headwinds and a catalyst from within the crypto market to break out of its boring sideways trend and begin to rise.

Aside from QCP Capital, BIT (formerly Matrixport) stated that macroeconomic factors, not the rise in AI stocks, triggered the Bitcoin correction.

Bitmine Adds 52,203 ETH, Inches Closer to 5% of Ether Supply
Bitmine grew its ether holdings by 52,203 ETH last week, putting the firm 94% of the way to its goal of holding 5% of Ethereum's supply.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) added 52,203 ETH to its treasury last week, the company said Monday. The purchase brings its totalEthereum (ETH) holdings to 5,672,956 tokens, equal to about 4.7% of Ether's total supply.

At a price of $1,733 per ETH, the holdings are worth roughly $9.8 billion. That makes Bitmine the largest corporate holder of Ether in the world. It ranks as the second-largest corporate crypto treasury overall, behind only Strategy's $54 billion Bitcoin position.

The latest purchase puts Bitmine 94% of the way toward what it calls its "alchemy of 5%" target, a plan to hold 5% of Ether's 120.7 million-token supply. Including cash, marketable securities, and stakes in other companies, Bitmine's total assets reached $10.7 billion as of June 21.

Those outside holdings include 205 BTC, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $104 million stake in Eightco Holdings. The company also holds $601 million in cash and marketable securities.

Strategy sells… and buys too!
Between 15 and 21 June, Strategy sold 2.71 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market program. They raised $335.5 million in net proceeds. The company then used part of that capital to buy 520 BTC for $34.9 million, at an average price of $67,068 per Bitcoin.As of 21 June, the company held 847,363 BTC, bought for a total of $64.1 billion at an average cost of $75,651 per coin. Its dollar reserves also rose to $1.4 billion.

Is the market very fragile?
Don’t let Strategy fool you though because the market doesn’t look like it’s recovering just yet.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s adjusted SOPR was still struggling around the key level of 1. Going above 1 usually means investors are selling coins at a profit while a move below 1 means losses are still being realized.On the charts though, there seemed to be no confirmation.

Ether fell 0.9% to $1,719 and is also down 3.3% on the week, XRP dropped 1.6% to $1.12 for a 9% weekly loss, solana lost 3.4% to $71 and dogecoin slid 6.6% over seven days.

Tron was the rare gainer, up 1.3% on the day and 4.6% on the week. Hyperliquid's HYPE fell 4.8% on the week.

The pressure came from outside crypto. A rotation out of this year's best-performing technology and chip shares sank global equities, with a gauge of Asian stocks falling more than 2% after a record close and South Korea's Kospi plunging more than 6% on fears that the rally in chipmakers had run too far.

S&P 500 futures fell 0.8% and Nasdaq 100 contracts dropped 1.3%, following a slide in megacap tech and rising bond yields that pulled US stocks lower on Monday. Brent crude edged below $78 a barrel and gold retreated.
