Scale of the DMCC Network
DMCC is a Dubai free zone home to more than 26,000 companies from over 180 countries. It accounts for roughly 15% of Dubai’s foreign direct investment and has historically served as a global hub for physical commodities, including gold, diamonds, tea, and coffee. Its Crypto Centre now hosts between 650 and 750 crypto and Web3 companies, making it one of the largest concentrations of blockchain-native firms in the region.

A spot Litecoin ETF is trading, Litecoin is a commodity by law, and the price sits at $44, down 89% from its peak. The gap between the regulatory milestone and the dead-flat chart is the most important lesson of the coming altcoin ETF wave.

The first spot Litecoin ETF began trading in 2026 under the ticker LTCC, launched by Canary Capital after a filing the previous year, making Litecoin one of the first altcoins to win a regulated US exchange-traded fund. Around the same time, the SEC and CFTC formally classified Litecoin as a commodity, removing one of the largest regulatory obstacles that has hung over altcoins since the start of the crypto era.

On paper, this is everything Litecoin holders spent years asking for: a regulated ETF that lets institutions buy the asset through a brokerage account, and a clear legal status that ends the question of whether the token is a security. The catalyst arrived. The validation arrived.

And Litecoin trades at $44, down roughly 89% from its all-time high above $400.

That gap, between the regulatory milestone and the lifeless price, is the most instructive thing about the entire altcoin ETF story, and it is the question every investor watching the coming wave of altcoin funds should sit with. The ETF era for altcoins is truly arriving, with Litecoin already live, Dogecoin and $XRP products advancing, and Solana widely seen as the strongest next candidate.

But Litecoin is the first real-world test of a thesis the market has taken on faith, the thesis that an ETF is a price catalyst, and the early result is sobering. On the 16th of June, $SKYAI rallied 26% after Nasdaq-listed Forward Industries [FWDI] submitted a bid to acquire SkyAI, Inc.

Since then, the token has pulled back, with its 24-hour gains easing to 7.25% at press time. Daily trading volume also fell 11.2%, suggesting speculative demand may have played a role in Tuesday’s sharp rally.

That is not to say that the move would be entirely retraced. AMBCrypto reported that $SKYAI was among the best-performing crypto AI tokens in 2026, with a 970% YTD gain so far.

This move is likely to keep going. Despite the bearish Bitcoin [BTC] long-term outlook, the $SKYAI potential remained strong.

The 78.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.191 was defended in June and has served as the launchpad from which the recent rally commenced. In the coming weeks, a move toward the $0.866 swing high is feasible.

A rally up to the 23.6% extension level at $1.06 is possible, although the $1 psychological resistance could lead to heavy profit-taking activity that stalls momentum.

The MACD made a bullish crossover to confirm the upward momentum, but the low trading volumes during the rally meant that the CMF stayed below -0.05. The low volume was a warning sign for the bulls.

In an earlier report, AMBCrypto concluded that a bullish bias was warranted. The lower timeframe range has been broken since then, and a retest could offer a buying opportunity.The $0.36-$0.40 former supply zone can now be expected to serve as a demand area. Therefore, it is likely that $SKYAI would continue its upward trend from here.

The technical indicators supported the bullish breakout and signaled that more gains were likely.

The idea to buy the range’s retest would be invalidated if the token prices fall below the $0.305 level, which marked this timeframe’s swing low.

China’s central bank is closely monitoring stablecoins in cross-border payments

The People’s Bank of China said stablecoins could play a larger role in cross-border payments and called for closer monitoring of their impact on the international monetary system and global payment networks.

According to remarks delivered by Wang Xin, director-general of the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China, at the Lujiazui Forum on June 17, policymakers are paying close attention to how stablecoins could affect the international monetary system and cross-border payment networks.

Addressing a session on global financial governance reform and cooperation, the central bank official said sustainable development depends on large volumes of cross-border investment and financing activity, which in turn requires efficient and diversified payment infrastructure. He added that growing uncertainty in the international payment system, including the risk of payment channels being used as geopolitical tools, could affect normal cross-border transactions.

Against that backdrop, the official said central bank payment systems and retail payment networks should strengthen connectivity while policymakers carefully explore new payment technologies. Stablecoins, he noted, may play a more prominent role in international payments in the future, making regulatory coordination and international cooperation increasingly important.

“We also need to pay attention to some new aspects,” Wang said, referring to stablecoins and central bank digital currencies.

He said the role of stablecoins in cross-border payments, as well as future regulatory and international coordination arrangements, deserves continued attention. He added that the cross-border use of central bank digital currencies is another area that warrants close observation and policy cooperation.
