BTC Prophet: 20-Day 380 Million HTX Challenge

Altcoin season is warming, with the index climbing to 51, yet the most speculative tier of the market is being sold harder than the rest. The Solana network, which out-trades every chain on meme coins, confirms the drag as even its own volume fades.

The split is between intent and fuel. Capital is rotating off Bitcoin into altcoins, but the riskiest corner is lagging. It is an early risk-off tilt rather than a broad run.

Altcoin Season Is Warming Toward Neutral

The starting point is the Altcoin Season Index, which tracks how many top altcoins outperform Bitcoin over 90 days. A reading above 75 confirms altcoin season, while a low score means Bitcoin leads.

The index sits at 51, up sharply from the deep Bitcoin-led readings of early June, with the altcoin market cap near $923 billion. That climb shows money starting to rotate out of Bitcoin and into the broader altcoin market.

Still, 51 is only neutral. It signals a market that wants to run, not one already running. What decides whether the move becomes a true season is the behavior of the riskiest assets, and that is where the picture turns.

The Speculative Tier Is Lagging, Not Leading

BeInCrypto’s meme-versus-alt data exposes the weak link. Over the past 30 days, a basket of meme coins fell 19.1% while a basket of mid-cap altcoins fell 9.8%. That leaves meme outperformance at negative 9.3 percentage points, meaning the speculative tier is being sold harder than the rest of the market.

BlackRock expands beyond spot Bitcoin with new income-focused ETF

BlackRock has launched a new Bitcoin investment product designed to generate monthly income through options strategies.

The asset manager announced on June 16 the launch of the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF [Nasdaq: BITA], a new exchange-traded product built around BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin infrastructure.

Unlike BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF [IBIT], which primarily tracks Bitcoin’s price movements, BITA combines Bitcoin exposure with a covered-call strategy designed to generate monthly option premiums for investors.

The launch signals growing institutional demand for more sophisticated Bitcoin portfolio strategies beyond simple spot exposure.

“A significant segment of our client base is interested in bitcoin but is also highly focused on income generation,” said Robert Mitchnick, BlackRock’s head of digital assets.

Ash Wallet Goes Live on Avalanche C-Chain Mainnet

Ash Wallet expands its presence within the Avalanche ecosystem and now supports the C-Chain on mainnet, becoming a unified interface for interacting with Safe wallets on that network as well as on Avalanche’s L1s. The announcement was made by the Suzaku team, the infrastructure arm behind the project, which operates under the Ash Wallet brand.

Since its launch nearly two years ago, Ash Wallet has accumulated ten active teams on mainnet that use it to manage their treasuries and daily administrative operations. Several additional teams had been experimenting on the testnet, including instances on the Fuji C-Chain.

From now on, wallet.ash.center serves as the centralized access point for all Safes within the Avalanche ecosystem. The team also announced that the app.safe.global interface will stop supporting the C-Chain on June 18, 2026, making migration a necessary step for current users.

Safes previously created on the C-Chain and on the L1s will appear automatically in the setup wizard once the wallet is connected. Ash Wallet also warned about the inherent risks of any web interface, noting that even the Safe team itself suffered a hack that compromised its official UI and led to losses exceeding $1.4 billion for the exchange Bybit. For this reason, the team recommends reviewing each transaction before signing and cross-checking data with external tools such as Safe
