This historic regulatory overhaul removes the mandatory USD 25,000 minimum equity requirement that has historically restricted retail investors from executing more than three day trades within a rolling five-business-day period. By scrapping the PDT designation entirely, the new framework shifts the focus from arbitrary account minimums to a more sophisticated system of intraday margin monitoring based on an investor's actual market exposure.Under the revised guidelines, brokerage firms will no longer enforce rigid day-trading "strikes" or buying power multipliers tied to the PDT label. Bitmine posts $3.8 billion quarterly net loss driven by unrealized ETH decline
Bitmine posted a net loss of $3.82 billion for the quarter ended Feb. 28, 2026, mainly driven by unrealized losses on its digital asset holdings.

The company recently announced that it held 4.87 million ETH as of April 12, commanding over 4% of the total ether supply.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies reported significant net losses in its latest quarterly earnings report, despite a notable growth in revenue.

According to Bitmine's 10-Q report filed on Tuesday, the Ethereum ￼ETH-1.90%￼

 treasury company posted a net loss of $3.82 billion for the quarter ended Feb. 28, 2026, widening from a net loss of $1.15 million in the same period last year.

The company's net loss for the six-month period ended Feb. 28 exceeded $9 billion, compared with a net loss of $2.1 million in the year-ago period, the report shows.

The reported losses in the quarter were largely driven by $3.78 billion in unrealized losses on the company's digital asset holdings. Bitmine has continued to increase its ETH holdings even through the extended crypto market since late 2025. 

As of April 12, Bitmine held 4.87 million ETH in its treasury, valued at approximately $10.7 billion. The company is currently the largest corporate Ethereum treasury globally and the second-largest corporate crypto treasury overall behind Strategy. Bitmine's Ethereum stash was purchased at an average price of $2,206 per ETH. 

"Bitmine has been buying Ethereum, as we view this pullback as attractive, given the strengthening fundamentals," Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said in a March statement. "In our view, the price of ETH is not reflective of the high utility of ETH and its role as the future of finance."

US Sources Issue Hot Statement: Iran-US Ceasefire Likely to Be Extended for Another Two Week

As diplomatic talks intensify in the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran, the possibility of extending the current ceasefire has come to the fore.

According to sources close to the matter, the option of extending the ceasefire, which is set to end on Tuesday, for another two weeks is on the table. This move is said to aim at buying time for negotiations toward a lasting peace agreement.

Diplomatic mediators are trying to organize technical talks to address the most critical issues between the parties. These issues include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which is crucial for the global energy supply, and Iran’s nuclear enrichment activities. If these technical contacts are successful, it could pave the way for a new round of negotiations between high-level officials.

However, there is no definitive decision yet on extending the ceasefire. A US official stated that the Washington administration has not yet officially approved this option. The Iranian Foreign Ministry did not respond to a request for comment on the matter. Nevertheless, another source familiar with the negotiations said that neither the US nor Iran wants a renewed large-scale conflict.
