Switzerland’s Crypto Valley funding rose 37% in 2025 as TON led deals


Switzerland’s Crypto Valley captured 47% of European blockchain venture funding in 2025, raising $728 million across 31 deals, according to an annual report released Wednesday by venture firm CV VC.

Globally, blockchain venture funding rose 30% to $15.5 billion across 986 deals last year, while Crypto Valley’s total climbed 37% from $531 million in 2024, the report said.

One deal did much of the heavy lifting. The Open Network (TON) accounted for $400 million of Crypto Valley’s 2025 funding haul, followed by Sygnum Bank at $58 million, stablecoin platform M0 at $40 million, Impossible Cloud Network at $34 million and CratD2C at $30 million, according to the report.

The figures suggest Switzerland remains Europe’s main blockchain funding hub, but they also show capital concentrating into fewer, larger rounds.

Blockchain networks attracted 62% of total funding, followed by infrastructure at 14%, centralized financial services at 10% and decentralized finance applications at 10%, the report said.

CLARITY Act Dropped From Senate Schedule: Crypto’s Biggest Bill to Miss Its Last Chance?

The Senate Banking Committee’s schedule for the week of April 20 contains one item: a nomination hearing for Federal Reserve Chairman candidate Kevin Warsh. The CLARITY Act is absent.

Chairman Tim Scott, who controls the committee calendar, has not announced a markup date for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act despite the Senate returning from Easter recess on April 13 and broad expectations that a committee vote would be called this month.

Three Hurdles Remain

Speaking on Fox Business, Scott cited three unresolved issues: the stablecoin rewards dispute between banks and crypto firms, outstanding DeFi provisions, and the need to align all Republican committee members. He indicated each issue could take another two weeks to resolve.

Senator Thom Tillis is expected to release final compromise language on stablecoin yield this week, which would represent the last draft text needed before Scott can schedule a markup.

The proposed framework bans passive yield on stablecoin balances while permitting activity-based rewards tied to transactions and platform engagement. Banks have pushed back on the draft. Tillis told Politico he remains open to further changes.

The May Deadline

The bill faces a structural time constraint. Senator Bernie Moreno has stated publicly that failure to reach the Senate floor by May effectively shelves the legislation for the rest of 2026 as midterm election politics consume the congressional calendar. Galaxy Research has calculated only 18 working weeks remain before the October midterm recess.

Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Warsh submitted his financial disclosure document to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) on April 14, the final procedural hurdle before the Senate confirmation hearing.  The documents show that Warsh and his wife Jane Lauder's combined assets are approximately $192 million, possibly higher. However, what truly captured the crypto industry's attention were the more than twenty crypto and Web3-related holdings hidden deep within the documents.


Warsh had previously stated in a public interview with the Hoover Institution that Bitcoin did not bother him, and that he considered it an important asset that could help policymakers determine the correctness of their decisions. Now, the disclosed documents prove that he didn't just talk the talk—his money is indeed invested in this sector.
