In fact, the market reaction earlier this week was linked more closely to the Ethereum Foundation’s separate sale of 10,000 ETH rather than the unstaking itself. For instance – Exchange reserves have continued to fall to multi-year lows, with only around 14.5 million ETH left on exchanges.

With all that in mind, the native token has struggled to build a better pace lately.

ETH’s RSI was near-neutral, with the MACD in negative territory. At the time of writing, short-term momentum was still weak despite ETH holding above the $2,300-range.Put simply, the market seemed to be waiting with bated breath. Much now depends on where the recently unstaked ETH moves next.

If the funds stay inside treasury-related wallets, concerns could ease. However, any movement towards exchanges would likely increase fears of selling in the near term.

South Korea delays Digital Asset Basic Act ahead of June elections




South Korea has delayed debate on its main digital asset bill until after June elections, postponing long-awaited rules for stablecoins, crypto exchanges, and institutional investors in one of the world’s busiest retail crypto markets.

The National Assembly’s National Policy Committee left the proposed Digital Asset Basic Act off the agenda during its final bill-review subcommittee meeting before parliamentary recess on May 12.

Lawmakers are unlikely to revisit the bill before the June 3 local elections.

As Cryptopolitan reported in late 2025, the bill has been stuck for months due to unresolved disputes between the Financial Services Commission and the Bank of Korea over stablecoin oversight. The May 12 omission extends that pattern.

Bitcoin, the world's largest blockchain network, operates as a decentralized peer-to-peer system built on a public ledger. Every transaction is permanently recorded on this transparent ledger, allowing anyone to view it in real time.

Anyone can open a Bitcoin block explorer, enter a wallet address into the search bar, and view the entire transaction history associated with it. While wallet addresses are pseudonymous rather than directly tied to identities, blockchain analytics firms and law enforcement agencies can often trace the movement of funds and link activity back to individuals or institutions.

In other words, the flow of $BTC, the blockchain's native token, is highly transparent and traceable, even if it is not always directly tied to real-world identities.

This level of transparency, often praised by Bitcoin supporters, may also be what keeps central banks away. Imagine being a central bank and accumulating an asset whose flows can be tracked in real time on a public ledger.
