Strategy Made a New Announcement Worth $1.5 Billion! Did They Sell Bitcoin (BTC)?
Strategy, the largest institutional Bitcoin ($BTC) investor, announced it will repurchase $1.5 billion worth of bonds.
Accordingly, Straetgy announced in an official statement that it has signed agreements with some investors to repurchase approximately $1.5 billion of its 0% interest convertible senior bonds maturing in 2029.
The company stated that the expected cash purchase price is approximately $1.38 billion.
The statement also indicated that the buyback could be financed with existing cash reserves, proceeds from the market-price share offering program, and revenue from Bitcoin sales.
Strategy expects the transaction to be completed around May 19th. Following the repurchase, the bonds will be redeemed, leaving approximately $1.5 billion in principal for the 2029 bonds.
As you may recall, last week Strategy founder Michael Saylor hinted at selling Bitcoin ($BTC) for the first time. While this caused surprise in the market, Strategy CEO Phong Le shared two scenarios in which they could sell $BTC.

Le had stated that, in the first scenario, they could sell their shares to finance dividend payments for STRC, which has perpetual preferred shares; and in the second scenario, they could sell to take advantage of tax benefits.

Recently, Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins have been warned that the quantum computing threat poses a significant risk and that urgent action is needed.

While many altcoins have taken significant steps in this regard, the latest announcements have come from Cardano (ADA).

Speaking to Gokhshtein News Network, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated that Cardano addressed concerns about quantum computing before they became a direct threat.

Hoskinson said that although some argue that quantum risks will only become apparent many years from now, Cardano disagrees and is already researching quantum-resistant alternatives.

Improving Cardano Investor Outlook Collides With Bullish Momentum
Several optimistic predictions from analysts are starting to show up for Cardano as its price makes a bounce back above key resistance levels. A seasoned market expert and trader, Ali Martinez, has outlined a highly bullish outlook for ADA, in which the altcoin could continue its upward trajectory.

In the post shared on the X platform, Ali Martinez has predicted that Cardano’s price could be getting ready to kickstart a new bull rally, suggesting that the current sideways performance will come to an end. Numerous indications are starting to suggest that confidence in the altcoin’s prospects is growing after a period of consolidation and muted price movement.

Martinez’s forecast is mainly backed by the SuperTrend Indicator, which appears to have been a reliable tool for predicting ADA’s shifts in the long term. The indicator has been on the analyst’s radar since it flashed a sell signal on September 25, 2025, that perfectly identified the start of a 73% price decline.
Following months of this heavy correction, the key indicator has just flipped on the daily chart. This flip simply means that the indicator is signaling a buy signal once again. In the expert’s view, this shift points to the conclusion of a local exhaustion phase and a trend reversal finally taking place.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said Monero represents the kind of privacy-preserving cryptocurrency Bitcoin might have become if stronger cryptographic tooling had been available at the time, praising the project’s technical design and its refusal to dilute its cypherpunk principles.

Speaking in an interview with David Gokhstein, the Cardano founder framed Monero not as a marginal privacy coin, but as one of the sector’s more important ideological and technical reference points. His comments centered less on price or market structure than on a broader debate over privacy, usability and what role uncompromising projects should play in crypto’s long-term direction.

“Honestly speaking, Monero is what Bitcoin should have been,” Hoskinson said. “They just didn’t have the technology at the time, and it’s a lot more complicated to run a privacy-preserving system. But there’s a lot to love in Monero, like the ASIC-resistant puzzles, the full-chain membership proofs, how they handle the view keys.”

Hoskinson’s argument was that privacy at scale is inherently harder to implement than transparent settlement. In his telling, Monero’s contribution is not limited to a single feature, but to a stack of design choices built around keeping privacy central while still maintaining a usable network.

He cited Monero’s work around ring signatures and privacy-preserving architecture as examples of a project that pushed crypto beyond transparent ledgers without abandoning decentralization. “These are smart things,” he said, adding that Monero “was a pioneer in ring signatures” and “a pioneer in a lot of privacy at scale.”
