As these updates happen more often, the system responds faster to market stress. This improves stability and user confidence, although it also means protocols depend more on external risk models as complexity increases.

Chaos Labs exit signals strain in Aave’s risk model

Chaos Labs’ exit signals more than a contributor change; it reflects growing strain in how Aave manages risk as it scales. For three years, Chaos Labs priced every loan while Aave’s TVL expanded from $5.2 billion to over $26 billion, processing $2.5 trillion in deposits and more than $2 billion in liquidations, according to Chaos Labs report.

Yet, the exit was driven by deeper misalignment on how risk should be handled going forward. As core contributors left, workload and operational risk increased, while Aave V4 introduced greater complexity on an unfamiliar structure.

Stani Kulechov, founder and Aave’s CEO, applauded them in a post stating, “We also want to thank the entire Chaos Labs team for their contributions over the years, as they have helped bring the protocol we built into its current level of maturity.”

Consequently, the engagement remained loss-making despite a proposed $5 million budget. This shift suggests that as protocols grow, maintaining high-quality risk oversight becomes harder, which could affect long-term stability if demand outpaces control.

Is DeFi Development Corp’s Solana bet finally paying off?

March 2026 has been a tough month for the crypto industry, including Digital Assets Treasuries (DTAs). As expected, DeFi Development Corp’s growth was flat too, but it still managed to grab attention. Despite March being a slow month, the firm reportedly pursued avenues to increase its Solana [$SOL] balance over time and, in turn, saw a surge in its $SOL per Share (SPS).

According to its March 2026 recap report, DeFi Development Corp’s [DFDV] $SOL holdings have reached 2,223,074 $SOL worth $185 million. Meanwhile, its outstanding shares stood at 29,497,394, translating to 0.0754 $SOL Per Share (SPS).

Additionally, in its shareholder letter, the firm emphasized how Solana’s multifold growth in 2025 now represents nearly 3% of the circulating $SOL supply held by DATs.

Besides this, the firm also published its annual results for 2025, recording over 442% in revenue growth.

That being said, in March, DFDV also explored how autonomous AI agents could “create persistent and structural demand for $SOL” in the long run.

The report outlined a base-case estimate of $27 billion in structural $SOL demand driven solely by agentic AI, alongside a bull-case projection of $112.5 billion.

This, after DFDV’s stock price traded at $3.64 after dropping by 3.84%. On the contrary, Solana was changing hands at $79.12 at press time, falling by 3.88% in the last 24 hours.

The Bitcoin community is divided on whether there is really a need to rush to meet the 2029 deadline of migrating to a quantum-secure network. 

For his part, Samsom Mow, founder of JAN3, an advisory for nation-state BTC adoption,  has warned against a hurried push for untested and unverified post-quantum (PQ) solutions. He cautioned that, 

Solving the QC problem later rather than sooner is the best course of action.



Mow slammed Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s call for a ‘sooner’ PQ upgrade. He stated that it could expose BTC to attack from current classical computers.

Additionally, the proposed PQ solutions would reduce Bitcoin transactions due to larger block sizes. 

PQ signatures will likely be 10-125x larger than current ones, and massively reduce throughput. Possibly paving the way for Blocksize Wars 2.0.

In fact, Solana, one of the fastest blockchains, has reported a potential 90% slowdown if current PQ solutions are implemented. 

Finally, Mow pointed out the possibility of the U.S. NSA (National Security Agency) pushing current PQ solutions as standards with hidden ‘backdoors’ to infiltrate future systems.
