TeraWulf reports weaker quarterly results as Bitcoin mining revenue declines

US-based digital infrastructure and bitcoin mining company TeraWulf reported worse-than-expected results for the fourth quarter of 2025, driven by a drop in mining revenue amid falling BTC prices late in the year.

The company posted a loss of $1.66 per share, compared to a $0.21 loss a year earlier. Analysts had expected a much smaller loss of around $0.16 per share. Quarterly revenue totaled $35.8 million, including $26.1 million from digital assets and $9.7 million from high-performance computing (HPC). This was significantly lower than the $50.6 million reported in the third quarter and below the $44.1 million forecast.

For the full year, however, revenue rose to $168.5 million, up from $140.1 million in 2024.

Betting on AI and data centers

Despite the weak quarter, TeraWulf is doubling down on artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The company said it has signed $12.8 billion worth of AI and HPC contracts, which could support growth in 2026.

TeraWulf also plans to expand its capacity through site acquisitions in Kentucky and Maryland. These additions are expected to bring 1.5 gigawatts of new capacity, more than doubling the company’s total infrastructure to about 2.8 GW.

Management said the company is entering 2026 with 522 megawatts of contracted HPC capacity and a multi-regional platform designed for long-term expansion.
