The cryptocurrency and blockchain world is undergoing a major transformation from speculative asset trading to institutional infrastructure solutions. Speaking exclusively to Coinage at the Consensus conference, Ava Labs President John Wu discussed the institutional adoption process of the Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem, new investment instruments, and global collaborations.

Wu noted that CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange), one of the leading derivatives exchanges in the sector, is working to list Avalanche futures (CME Futures), and also reminded that there are already three Avalanche ETF applications in the market.

John Wu argued that these developments are a clear indication of the interest of traditional and institutional investors in the Avalanche ecosystem, stating:

“ETFs and futures are proof that traditional or institutional investors are now putting Avalanche on their radar and want to access this asset through familiar interfaces without having to deal with complex on-chain processes.”

Wu stated that Avalanche has been guided by the vision of “building the best infrastructure for organizations” from the very beginning, and announced that the loyalty program, ticket sales rights, and ticketing platform for this summer’s FIFA World Cup will all operate entirely on the Avalanche blockchain.

He also reported that NBA teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons have been experimenting with fan loyalty programs and in-stadium stablecoin payments on Avalanche.

Ava Labs President stated that they also have a very strong presence in the Asian market, and announced that through the “Progmat” initiative, which includes Japanese financial giant Mitsubishi Financial Group and other partners, $2 billion worth of tokenized real estate and fixed-income assets have been migrated to the Avalanche blockchain.

STRC preferred stock investors are mispricing major 'dislocation' risk: Analyst

Investors are mispricing risk for perpetual preferred stocks, like Bitcoin treasury company Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC), according to Matt Dines, the chief investment officer of credit asset management company Build Markets.

The corporate issuers of perpetual preferred stocks never have to repay holders their principal investment, and can just pay dividends indefinitely, without renegotiating the investment terms, Dines told the Truth for the Commoner (TFTC) media outlet.

If holders want to cash out, they must sell the perpetuals on the secondary market to recover their principal, which leaves holders exposed to liquidity contraction and interest rate risks that exist forever because perpetuals lack a maturity date, he said. He added:

The repeated inability to sustain gains above key thresholds suggests sellers remain dominant, increasing the likelihood of another corrective phase in the short term.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: The Daily Chart

On the daily timeframe, $BTC recently experienced a slight bullish pullback following its rebound from the $78K support zone. However, this recovery rally was ultimately rejected around the critical $80K resistance region, which also aligns with the descending 200-day moving average near the $82K mark. The confluence of these resistance levels reinforces their significance and highlights persistent bearish sentiment across the market.

The rejection from this area suggests buyers are still unable to reclaim higher ground, while sellers continue defending overhead supply aggressively. As long as Bitcoin remains capped below the $80K-$82K region, the probability of an expanded bearish retracement remains elevated. In this scenario, the first major downside target would be the highlighted demand zone around $75K-$76K. A deeper correction could eventually expose lower support levels
