What's special about this trailer isn't the countdown itself, but rather how the team defines early buyers as future service users. In the user-shared post, the project stated that early participants in the token sale will benefit from the service, with users holding more tokens having a more advantageous position. This hints at (but hasn't confirmed) some kind of token-weighted feature, such as access restrictions, in-game priority, or balance-based rewards. In a recent announcement on its official website, the project stated its plan to dissolve its decentralized security council and transfer control to an internal multi-signature mechanism. Just days earlier, Scroll had cancelled a significant price increase that had added over $50,000 to user costs.

The security council is no longer worthwhile. The DAO plans to transfer protocol governance control to administrator multi-signature within the next 10 days. This step still requires the support of the security council to take effect.

The proposed multi-signature address is 0xcca54B0916Cee2186b47E9709BEdcb7041A8F761. All contract changes will be transparently performed on-chain. This means anyone can verify these updates.

Contracts to be migrated under the new architecture include the ScrollOwner contract, the AgoraGovernor contract, and the time-lock contract.  In short, time locks delay critical protocol actions, giving users time to understand the changes before they occur.

Scroll DAO describes this move as a pragmatic decision. The project team stated that they reviewed the Security Council's usage in recent quarters and found that its spending was excessive while the value gained was disproportionate. This is not a rejection of regulation. Instead, the company plans to work with stakeholders to establish a new council structure more suited to current market conditions.
