The Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) Trend Signal is declining, but for a confirmed bottom signal to occur, it must fall further below the lower dotted line and a crossover between the metrics must take place.

It is possible that a price bottom forms earlier than in previous cycles when compared to the time typically required. It is also possible to see more than one buy signal, one for the coming months and another later in the cycle.

For now, the best approach is to continue monitoring the Alpha metrics.

Ether, XRP, Solana slide in crypto retreat despite tech-led lift in Asia stocks

Crypto prices fell across majors on Thursday, with ether, $XRP and Solana leading declines as traders struggled to extend this week's brief stabilization.

Bitcoin traded near $66,700, down about 1.7% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinDesk market data. Ether slipped a similar amount to around $1,965, while $XRP fell nearly 5% and Solana dropped close to 4%. BNB and Dogecoin were also in the red, reflecting broad weakness rather than token-specific moves.

The slide came even as Asian equities pushed higher in thin holiday trading. MSCI's Asia-Pacific index outside Japan rose about 0.5%, Japan's Nikkei gained roughly 0.85%, and South Korea's Kospi jumped around 3% to a record high.

The move followed a rebound in U.S. tech stocks after Nvidia signed a multi-year deal to supply Meta Platforms with Al chips.

On-Chain Signals Point to a Healthy Reset
On-chain data shows a noticeable dip in overall profitability across the network. The percentage of Bitcoin supply sitting in profit has slipped from 75.3% to 66.9%, falling below the key 69.1% level. Historically, this zone tends to act as a “reset button”—shaking out weak hands and easing sell pressure as traders become less eager to exit at lower prices.
At the same time, long-term holders are sending a strong signal of confidence. As Long-Term Holder NUPL approaches the 0.60 level, seasoned investors typically stop distributing and begin accumulating again. In past cycles, this shift has often laid the groundwork for the next leg higher.
Technical Outlook: A Pause Before the Push
From a chart perspective, Bitcoin is trading within an ascending broadening wedge—a structure that supports volatility but still favors continuation to the upside. If BTC successfully reclaims the $90,000 psychological level, the next target comes in near $98,000.
That’s where the “pit stop” likely happens.
A brief consolidation or pullback toward the $95,000 zone would help establish a stronger support base before any decisive move toward $100K. This kind of pause allows momentum to reset and gives the market room to breathe.
