Strategy Reverses Bitcoin Deposit

On-chain trackers first flagged the deposit as Strategy's earliest direct exchange transfer in nearly two years, a rare move for a company that almost never touches trading venues. The coins arrived in two batches of roughly 205 BTC each, landing on an institutional custody platform that traders often read as a staging ground for sales. Hours later, the same amount returned to the firm's own wallets.

Saylor had signaled earlier in the week that Strategy could sell some Bitcoin before year-end, citing dividend payments and capital needs rather than any loss of conviction. A recent $1.5 billion buyback of convertible notes had drained much of the company's cash, which sharpened speculation about how it would cover those bills. The deposit pushed Polymarket odds on a 2026 sale above 90% within hours.

BitMine Doubles Ether Bet

Meanwhile, Tom Lee's BitMine Immersion Technologies bought 25,000 Ether (ETH) for $50.6 million on the same day, extending one of the largest corporate accumulation drives in the market. The purchase lifted its holdings near 5.39 million ETH, about 4.47% of supply and within reach of Lee's stated 5% target for the year. Ether has slid roughly 10% over the past month.

DTCC Chooses Stellar for Tokenized Assets
The primary catalyst behind the rally was DTCC's decision to integrate Stellar into its tokenization initiative. DTCC, which processes trillions of dollars in securities transactions annually and safeguards more than $114 trillion in assets. It plans to connect tokenized stocks, ETFs, and U.S.
Treasuries to Stellar as part of a broader multi-chain strategy. The integration is expected to launch in the first half of 2027.
For many investors, the announcement validates Stellar's infrastructure as a serious contender in institutional blockchain adoption. While DTCC is not purchasing XLM directly, the partnership significantly strengthens the network's reputation within the growing tokenization sector.

Santiment: Bitcoin Sentiment Hits Most Bullish Ratio of 2026

Bitcoin social sentiment hit 2.23 bullish comments per bearish one, the highest ratio of 2026, per Santiment.

The two previous sentiment peaks of the year both preceded short-term price pullbacks, Santiment warned.

Spot bitcoin ETFs logged 10 consecutive days of outflows totaling over $2.97 billion since May 15.
Crypto sentiment platform Santiment is flagging a potential warning sign for bitcoin: social media bullishness has hit its highest point of the year, even as the broader market trades lower.

Santiment reported:

“Sentiment on Bitcoin has spiked to 2.23 bullish comments for every bearish one — the most lopsided positive ratio of 2026.”
The firm noted that the previous two biggest positive-ratio days of the year both preceded short-term price pullbacks, while severely negative readings marked local bottoms.

Santiment added:

“The current euphoria contrasts sharply with the bearish ETF flow picture and warrants caution.”

Spot bitcoin ETF flows logged their tenth consecutive trading day of outflows on Friday, with total net redemptions exceeding $2.97 billion since May 15.
