ZEC now appears to be printing a classic falling star setup on the daily chart after surging from the low $300 region to almost $700 in a matter of weeks. This is a warning sign that buyers may finally be tiring after an aggressive vertical breakout. Before sellers intervened and forced repeated rejections close to local highs, ZEC pushed sharply higher into the $680 region. Long upper wicks and waning continuation momentum are common indicators of distribution rather than sound consolidation in the most recent candles. GELT to join Tether’s non-dollar stablecoin lineup
The GELT stablecoin would join Tether’s smaller lineup of currency-specific stablecoin products beyond its flagship USDT. Tether has previously launched tokens pegged to the Mexican peso and offshore Chinese yuan and has also announced plans for a United Arab Emirates dirham-pegged stablecoin. 

Tether’s Mexican peso-pegged MXNT launched in 2022 with initial support on Ethereum, Tron and Polygon. Its offshore Chinese yuan-pegged CNHT was created in 2019 and later expanded to Tron, while the planned UAE dirham token was announced in 2024 with backing from liquid UAE-based reserves.

The company has also developed market-specific stablecoin products. In January 2026, Tether launched USAT as a US-regulated dollar stablecoin aimed at the American market. 

Tether has also wound down some of its earlier non-USDT stablecoins. The company stopped minting its euro-pegged EURT and said redemptions ended in November 2025, while its offshore Chinese yuan-pegged CNHT is set to become non-redeemable in February 2027.

Price is pressing against the lower boundary of a rising channel that has contained Ethereum’s range since the February lows. All four EMAs are stacked above current price, with the 20 EMA at $2,181, the 50 EMA at $2,221, the 100 EMA at $2,297, and the 200 EMA at $2,528. The Supertrend indicator sits at $2,319, well overhead. Every short-term average is pointing down.

The channel’s lower trendline has held on a closing basis, but the May 23 wick to $2,078 showed how close $ETH came to losing it entirely. A daily close below that level opens the March support cluster between $2,017 and $2,022 next, and failure there puts $1,908 back in play.
