1. What Is Xterio?

Xterio is an interactive entertainment platform that combines AI, game publishing, and Web3 asset services. For players, it provides a gateway to games, digital asset management, and community services. For developers, it offers publishing, growth, and Game-as-a-Service (GaaS) tooling. In its early stage, the project operated its own Layer 2. As of 2026, the original Xterio Chain has been retired, the associated assets and services have completed migration, and Xterio no longer runs a standalone Layer 2.

2. How Does Xterio Work?

On the player side, the platform includes a game library, an account-abstraction wallet, digital identity, an NFT marketplace, minting access, on-chain operations, and community applications. On the developer side, APIs for accounts, NFTs, and tokens—together with ready-made smart contract components—support in-game asset operations such as claiming, minting, burning, breeding, depositing, and withdrawing. Xterio also provides financing, publishing, user growth, data analytics, and ongoing operational support. Its AI initiatives include graphics-generation tools, an emotional conversation engine, and agent capabilities that remain under development. Following the migration, XTER, staking positions, XTER.AI shards, tradable in-game NFTs, and select in-game assets have been moved to BNB Smart Chain, where future staking will also take place.

3. Who Founded Xterio?

Xterio was established in 2022. Its official builders page lists Jeremy Horn as a co-founder, while the current whitepaper team page identifies its core management as CEO Michael Tong, COO Jeremy Horn, CFO Ryan Cheung, and General Counsel Derrick Boo. The platform is governed by the Xterio Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Zug, Switzerland, with Brett Krause serving as Chairman of the Foundation Council. In August 2022, Xterio raised USD 40 million. In July 2023, it secured an additional USD 15 million in strategic investment, bringing total disclosed funding to USD 55 million.

4. Xterio Tokenomics

$XTER has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The official allocation is: Community 28%, Ecosystem 26%, Private Investors 15%, Team & Advisors 12%, Marketing 9%, Treasury 4.25%, and Liquidity & Staking 5.75%. The Private, Team & Advisors, and Treasury allocations are subject to zero unlock at TGE, followed by a one-year lockup and quarterly release over four years. The Liquidity & Staking allocation is fully unlocked at TGE. XTER is used for first-party games, platform transactions, ecosystem rewards, digital asset purchases, event and minting participation, and expressing opinions on game features and community activities.

5. Timeline of Key Milestones

2022: Xterio is founded and begins building its game-publishing and Web3 gaming services platform.

April 2024: The emotional conversation engine is presented to users for the first time through the "Meet Your Anima" campaign.

December 2024: This initiative evolves into Befriend AI and launches a beta version.

2025: The XTER token system, staking, and cross-game ecosystem gradually go live.

2026: The Xterio Chain migration is completed and the chain is officially retired. XTER, staking positions, XTER.AI shards, and related game assets are transferred to BNB Smart Chain.
