What Is DeLorean?As the official Web3 arm of the DeLorean Motor Company, DeLorean Labs is hyper-focused on innovative technologies and all things digital, a fusion between an iconic past and limitless future. DeLorean continues its tradition of innovation by introducing a tokenized electric vehicle utilizing the DeLorean Protocol, which is an on-chain system for vehicle reservations, marketplace, and analytics.
Within the DeLorean Labs system, cars can be digitally purchased, traded, authenticated, and tracked like never before. DeLorean will provide the industry with verifiable, immutable proof of vehicle ownership, maintenance records, usage history, and driving statistics. Its accuracy and reliability in tracking and analyzing vehicle performance data are unparalleled. At the heart of the DeLorean ecosystem lies DMC, a token that combines culture, real-world utility, and the backing of an iconic Web2 brand.
- DeLorean Reservation System & Marketplace: An NFT system for reserving electric vehicles. Holders of a "Build Slot NFT" are granted priority access to purchase the new Alpha5 EV, DeLorean's first new model in over 40 years. Once DMC is launched, users will be able to trade using the token and enjoy reduced transaction fees.
- Dynamic Staking Protocol ("Park & Earn"): Users can lock DMC to earn rewards. When it is used alongside a Build Slot NFT, stakers receive multiplied yields.
- Motorverse Gaming Integration: DeLorean vehicles will be available in partnered Web3 racing games. Players will be able to earn and spend $DMC on in-game upgrades, digital collectibles, and competition entries.
- Merchandise Store: A digital storefront offering exclusive DeLorean merchandise and collectibles. DMC will be used to unlock limited edition drops, discounts, and community-only perks.
- Driving Analytics & EV Rewards Program: Vehicles integrated with FLUX will record on-chain driving metrics (such as mileage, battery health, and safety). Drivers who hit high-performance thresholds will earn DMC rewards for sustainable and verifiable driving.
