Recently in the cryptocurrency market, the actions of large players have been attracting no less attention than price fluctuations.
Last week, Bitcoin rose above the $82,000 mark again, but the US employment data published on Friday put significant selling pressure on the market. This data, which came in much higher than expected and showed a stable unemployment rate, strengthened expectations that the Fed could raise interest rates at its September meeting. As a result, US bond yields rose, and Bitcoin fell below $80,000.
A similar situation affected altcoins as well, and the resulting volatility changed investors' risk appetite. In this context, the transfers made by large investors through their wallets also drew attention.
According to data from the analytical platform Lookonchain, the largest short asset on the $ZEC network belongs to Chinese crypto whale Garrett Jin. However, it seems he is about to give up.
Jin recently closed a short position of 7,000 $ZEC ($8.16 million), incurring a loss of $4.12 million. Despite this, he still has an open short position of 32,760 $ZEC ($37.83 million) with an unrealized loss of $18.95 million. The liquidation price is listed as $2,857.
Lookonchain also reports that large players are buying Solana. According to their data, a player under the nickname “HURDw” has purchased a total of 285,503 SOL (worth $28.82 million) on Hyperliquid over the past 3 weeks.
Another large investor, who previously spent $4.73 million on $PONS, UNI, AAVE, and CASHCAT, today acquired 3.48 million "4Stock" altcoins, spending 163,256 USDT.
Furthermore, a wallet associated with the cryptocurrency trading company Cumberland is accumulating $PONS. According to data, 3.5 million $PONS ($2.78 million) have been withdrawn from Gate over the past 4 days at an average price of $0.80.
A trader with the address "0xbebb" turned $4.4k into $780k in just 2 hours. This equates to a profit 177 times the market.
According to data, the trader, who spent 4,400 USDC to buy 18.6 million "4Stock" altcoins, is now the largest investor in "4Stock" with assets worth $780,000 USD.
Finally, Abraxas Capital purchased 13,000 spot ETH ($32.39 million USD) to hedge its short position of 141,180 Ethereum ($353.27 million USD) on Hyperliquid.
