SkyCapital Expands Cooperation with Crypto Services Amid Regulatory Changes

SkyCapital, a financial technology company, has announced an expansion of its partnership program for crypto services in response to new, stricter regulations coming into force in Russia in September 2026. The company will offer its infrastructure to other market participants to help them transition from anonymous P2P transfers to a more transparent, legally compliant business model. According to SkyCapital's managing director, Dmitry Galkin, the move addresses a growing industry demand. He explained that after the new law takes effect, services lacking proper KYC/AML checks, anti-fraud protection, and SBP (Russia's Fast Payments System) acquiring will only be able to operate under a transitional period. Ultimately, they will face a clear choice: adapt with compliant infrastructure or shut down. The partnership model allows other crypto services to maintain their own brand and customer interface while utilizing SkyCapital's backend infrastructure. This includes SBP-acquiring, transaction execution, KYC/AML verification, anti-fraud systems, and regulatory reporting. This approach enables faster, more cost-effective compliance for partners without needing to build such systems from scratch. Galkin warned that non-compliant operators risk not just payment blocks and business limitations, but also potential criminal and administrative prosecution. SkyCapital believes the crypto market is entering a phase where competition is increasingly supplemented by partnerships focused on shared, reliable infrastructure to mitigate operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. This strategic shift signifies SkyCapital's broader role in the market, moving beyond its own platform to provide technological and compliance solutions for the wider industry. It reflects a broader trend in the Russian crypto sector away from fragmented, informal models towards collaboration around secure and formalized solutions.

Jensen Huang Turns Japan into NVIDIA's "Physical AI" Pivot Point: A Life-Saving Favor 30 Years Ago, a Full-Stack Bind 30 Years Later

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s recent visit to Japan signals a strategic push to make the country a core hub for its global “physical AI” ecosystem. During his trip, NVIDIA announced partnerships with Japanese robotics giants Fanuc and Yaskawa Electric, and expanded its collaboration with Toyota across autonomous driving, factory simulation, and smart city applications. Huang emphasized that AI-driven robotics will become intelligent, adaptable, and accessible. The visit also highlighted a historic reunion with former SEGA president Shoichiro Irimajiri, who helped save NVIDIA from bankruptcy in the 1990s with a critical investment. Now, SEGA plans to support NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform for future game releases. Behind the scenes, Huang hosted a dinner with key Japanese semiconductor and electronics supply chain leaders, including Kioxia, Shin-Etsu Chemical, Tokyo Electron, and Ajinomoto, underscoring Japan’s role in NVIDIA’s hardware roadmap. Beyond robotics and automotive, NVIDIA is deepening ties across Japanese industries. In healthcare, companies like Eisai and Fujifilm are using NVIDIA’s BioNeMo and Blackwell platforms for AI-driven drug discovery and medical imaging. In finance, Mizuho Bank and SMFG are building AI factories powered by NVIDIA systems. In quantum computing, RIKEN’s supercomputers, equipped with Blackwell GPUs, are advancing research. Market speculation also points to a potential partnership with Japan’s state-backed “physical AI” consortium, Noetra. Huang dismissed concerns about an AI bubble, stating demand remains strong and a decade of infrastructure building is needed. He framed Japan’s manufacturing expertise and automation needs as a natural fit for the physical AI era.

Examining the Open USD Partner Lineup: Follow Who's Joining to See Where the Money Flows

**Title: Deciphering the Open USD Partner Roster: Following the Money** The launch of Open USD is notable less for the stablecoin itself and more for its expansive list of over 140 founding partners, which reads like a "who's who" of global finance and tech. This coalition, including asset managers like BlackRock, card networks Visa and Mastercard, banks (BNY Mellon, Standard Chartered, etc.), tech giants (Google, IBM), merchants (Shopify), and crypto firms (Coinbase, Ripple, Aave, MetaMask), signals a strategic shift. The diverse membership reveals that stablecoins are increasingly viewed not as products to compete over, but as shared infrastructure too critical to be left to any single entity. Each partner category has distinct motives. Asset managers like BlackRock seek to manage the large, sticky cash reserves, a lucrative fee-generating opportunity. Merchants like Shopify aim for lower-cost settlement and potential yield on balances. Banks join defensively to retain custody and settlement roles, fearing deposit outflows to stablecoins. Tech companies bet on programmable money for future machine-to-machine commerce. Crypto firms gain mainstream legitimacy and distribution channels. Remarkably, the consortium includes direct competitors (Visa vs. Mastercard, Coinbase vs. Ripple), indicating that the fear of exclusion from this emerging financial layer outweighs competitive rivalries. However, this shared governance could also lead to slow decision-making. The roster's composition is the real message: it represents a collective bet that a widely accepted, consortium-owned stablecoin is preferable to proprietary versions or having none at all. For incumbents like Circle and Tether, this alliance poses a significant threat, as potential clients have collectively chosen to build their own alternative. The absence of major U.S. retail banks (busy with their own tokenized deposit networks) is equally telling. In essence, the partner list maps where the industry believes value and risk will flow in a tokenized dollar future, marking stablecoin's evolution from a product to a utility.
