The company Strateg, one of the world's largest institutional holders of bitcoin, went a week without any purchases, as had been the case for a long time, following a week of active buying.
The company, which had recently attracted attention due to bitcoin sales, currently holds 845,050 $BTC.
Company Strategy Halts Bitcoin Purchases!
According to a statement from Strategy company founder Michael Saylor, Strategy did not buy or sell any bitcoin last week.
"...As of 09/13/2026, we own 845,050 $BTC."
Instead, the company repurchased STRC preferred shares for $139.3 million.
Saylor added in his statement that the company fully funded the STRC stock repurchase using its cash reserves. At this point, the company's dollar reserves have decreased by approximately $140 million, from $6.54 billion to $6.4 billion, due to the repurchase of STRC preferred shares.
The company provided an approximate "dollar duration" of 3.9 years, during which it can meet its financial obligations, such as dividends and interest, using its dollar assets. This means it can fulfill its payment obligations for approximately 3.9 years with its existing dollar assets, without needing to adjust bitcoin prices or raise new funds.
Meanwhile, another bitcoin-managing company, Strive, also acquired 469 $BTC. Strive CEO Matt Cole stated on platform X that Strive bought 469 $BTC last week at an average price of $77,954. Strive currently holds 25,000 $BTC.
Bitcoin Assets Fell to Zero!
KULR Technology, a bitcoin-managing company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, sold its remaining bitcoin. In an 8-K form filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company reported the sale of approximately 764 bitcoin in open market transactions between August 20 and September 11, 2026.
The sales were executed at an average price of $76,633 per bitcoin, generating approximately $58.6 million in gross proceeds. KULR stated that the transactions were conducted as part of ongoing treasury management operations.
Upon completion of the transaction on September 11, KULR's bitcoin assets fell to zero. Thus, the company has completely abandoned its bitcoin investment strategy, which previously constituted a significant part of its portfolio. *This is not investment advice.
