Optimism: Initial OP token grant allocation will be transferred to Base on August 30th

Optimism announced on X platform (formerly known as Twitter) that it will transfer the initial OP tokens to Base on August 30th as part of a planned transaction. Optimism Foundation announced last week that it will provide Base with the opportunity to distribute up to about 118 million OP tokens over the next six years, aiming to reward Base for its contributions to expanding Ethereum and OP Stack, and ensuring Base's long-term consistency and commitment to the ecosystem.
