Blockchain Capital Cofounder Loses $6.3 Million in Alleged SIM Swap Hack

The hack took place between May 12 and May 14, 2023, when hackers impersonated Stephens' brother and gained access to his account. The hackers then carried out a SIM swap, reset his passwords, and passed two-factor authentication prompts. Stephens has filed a lawsuit against the anonymous hackers and is seeking compensation for his lost assets and the time and money spent on investigating the hack.
