Bitcoin Ordinals Protocol Volume Drops Over 97% Since May

Since May 2023, the monthly trading volume of tokens based on the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol has dropped sharply by over 97% after reaching a peak of $452 million in May 2023. The report states that the trading volume of Ordinals plummeted by 76.5% in June to $106 million. In July, the trading volume dropped by 66.9% to $35 million. Starting from mid-August, the trading volume was only $3 million, which means it has dropped by over 97% since the historical high in May.
