The Associated Press has issued new guidelines limiting the use of generative artificial intelligence tools for news reporting to prevent potential negative impacts on its reporting. The restrictions, laid out by Amanda Barrett, AP's Vice President for Standards and Inclusion, state that journalists are not allowed to use ChatGPT to create publishable content.
