Securitize Acquires Crypto Investment Startup Onramp Invest

On August 17th, asset tokenization company Securitize acquired cryptocurrency investment startup Onramp Invest. The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Onramp COO Ashton Chaffee stated that selling to Securitize was attractive due to uncertain risk financing environment and existing partnership with the company. Onramp is a software provider that helps financial advisors manage cryptocurrency investments and other digital assets. Last July, it raised $7 million in funding from investors including JAM FINTOP and EJF Capital.
