Bittrex Settles With SEC For $24M In Damages

According to a court document submitted on Thursday, the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex reached a $24 million settlement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in April for operating an unregistered exchange. The exchange did not admit or deny the charges. Bittrex filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code in May.
