the Base mainnet has officially opened to the public, with over 100 Dapps and service providers as part of the Base ecosystem. Jesse Pollak, the head of the Base protocol, stated that compared to Ethereum, users can explore these Dapps and benefit from lower transaction fees and faster transaction speeds.
