Hamas has announced that it will no longer accept cryptocurrency donations. The proposed Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act, supported by Senators Elizabeth Warren and Roger Marshall, has been criticized for potentially treating software developers and validators as financial institutions, which could harm the crypto industry. Instead, alternative measures such as a federal money transmission license or a supervisory regime for digital currency exchanges could be considered. While the Warren-Marshall bill has its detractors, its supporters are still advocating for its passage.
