Cryptosat, the cryptosatellite developer, and DoraHacks, the organizer of a global hackathon, have collaborated to conduct the first successful experiment to launch a zero-knowledge (ZK) proof system in space on the International Space Station (ISS).DoraHacks and Cryptosat say the experiment on the ISS demonstrates that a satellite-based computing environment can perform DoraHacks and Cryptosat said that the experiments on the ISS demonstrated that the satellite-based computing environment was able to perform some of the trusted setup processes required to use the ZK proof protocol. The success of the ZK proof experiment is an important step in proving the validity of the space computing environment, according to Cryptosat, which is seeking to put a group of CubeSats into orbit and establish its satellite constellation.
