according to ABC News, the U.S. Department of Defense refuses to disclose the specific cost of the "Operation Epic Anger," but the bipartisan think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates that the initial four days of the attack cost about $891 million per day, totaling approximately $3.7 billion. CSIS states: "Some of these costs have been included in the budget, but most ($3.5 billion) have not yet been accounted for." This staggering figure mainly comes from the initial intensity of the strike, during which the U.S. military launched about 2,000 precision-guided munitions at Iran, including an unspecified number of "Tomahawk" cruise missiles, each costing over $2 million. The cost may also include the loss of three F-15 fighter jets in Kuwait due to friendly fire, each priced at about $31 million. Additionally, there are expenses incurred from the rapid troop mobilization itself. According to a budget estimate, during the most intense period of the Iraq War, military operation costs were only about $300 million per day.
