in response to Ukrainian President Zelensky's proposal to link the country's EU accession date directly with the peace negotiations being mediated by the United States, EU Commission spokesperson Paola Pinheiro stated in Brussels on the 3rd that the EU cannot set a date for Ukraine's accession, as doing so would violate EU rules.
