#Discuss Hot Assets , Enter the Lucky Draw 92.9% of crypto tokens launched since 2024 trade below TGE price: Nearly 93% of crypto tokens launched since 2024 are now trading below their token generation event [TGE] price, according to new data from CryptoRank, underscoring the challenges new projects face in sustaining their initial valuations.

The analysis found that only 8 of 113 crypto projects with market capitalizations above $100 million remain above their TGE price. The other 105 have fallen into negative territory.

Only 7.1% of major token launches remain profitable

CryptoRank’s research, which examined tokens launched between 2024 and 2026 with market capitalizations exceeding $100 million, paints a stark picture of the post-launch market.

According to the data, just 7.1% of projects continue to trade above their launch price, while 92.9% have declined below it.

The chart showed Strategy holding 843,775 BTC acquired through 113 purchases. The holdings were valued at approximately $54.36 billion, with an average acquisition price of $75,653 per bitcoin. The chart estimated an unrealized decline of about $9.47 billionSaylor frequently posts versions of the chart before Strategy releases treasury updates, prompting investors to treat them as possible signals of another purchase. The posts do not confirm an acquisition, and the latest came after Strategy disclosed selling $263.5 million of stock without adding BTC.During the July 13-19 reporting period, Strategy sold 2,732,318 MSTR shares for $263.5 million in net proceeds but did not purchase bitcoin. The proceeds increased Strategy's U.S. dollar reserve to $3.225 billion, illustrating that the company does not automatically deploy newly raised capital into BTC and may instead strengthen its cash position.

François Garcin sues MARA for €11M over unpaid Exaion fees

François Garcin, the executive that MARA Holdings (NASDAQ: MARA) hired to build its European business and win French sign-off to buy EDF’s Exaion, has sued the company in a New York federal court.

Garcin filed a 40-page complaint, claiming more than €11 million in unpaid fees. The case was filed in the Southern District of New York and reported by the French Bitcoin institute INBi.François Garcin was hired as an executive by MARA Holdings (NASDAQ: MARA) to lead its European expansion and secure French approval for the Exaion takeover, but now he is suing the company for more than €11 million ($12 million), which he claims it refused to pay after terminating his contract in March.

Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) has started preparing its custody systems and infrastructure for a future in which powerful quantum computers could defeat the cryptography protecting Bitcoin, Ethereum and other blockchain networks.

Coinbase Chief Information Security Officer Jeff Lunglhofer outlined the company’s position in a July 23 company blog post:

“A large-scale quantum computer capable of breaking current cryptography will eventually be built. No one knows exactly when. But the work to prepare needs to start now, not when it’s urgent.”

The company said its Independent Advisory Board on Quantum Computing and Blockchain has high confidence that a fault-tolerant quantum computer will eventually be developed. Coinbase formed the board to assess long-term quantum risks facing digital assets, according to Coinbase’s quantum advisory board announcement.

“The cryptography that secures virtually every major blockchain is vulnerable when it arrives. The threat is not imminent, but the timeline is genuinely uncertain,” Lunglhofer added.

The warning does not suggest that quantum computers can currently defeat the cryptography securing major blockchains. Instead, Coinbase argues that upgrading global blockchain systems, moving millions of users and replacing vulnerable cryptographic methods could take years, making early preparation essential.
Coinbase’s preparations align with broader cybersecurity efforts. In June 2026, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released draft updates to federal post-quantum cryptography standards that incorporate newly standardized quantum-resistant algorithms for identity verification and authentication, underscoring that organizations should continue preparing for the transition to post-quantum security.

The trailer, released earlier this week, shows a private gathering in Las Vegas during World Cup final weekend. It has been claimed that one guest in the trailer holds up a phone displaying what looks like a Kalshi trade slip and describes a $5,000 bet on Spain, which beat Argentina 1-0 in the July 19 final.

Kalshi says the image tells a different story than the trailer implies. The receipt is dated May 16, 2025, more than a year before the events shown on screen. The phone display reads “crop,” which Kalshi says shows the person was viewing a saved image rather than an active trade. The company also says the slip does not match its interface and uses the phrase “bet slip,” language it claims has never appeared on its platform.

Kalshi marketing head Brandon Beckhardt said the company flagged the issue to Netflix before the trailer went out. “We flagged the fake trade slip to Netflix. They said they’d pull the trailer. They haven’t,” Beckhardt said in a statement on X. He described the people in the scene as influencers rather than Kalshi traders.
