Arbitrum’s RWA market moves beyond treasuries

Tokenised RWAs on Arbitrum are now at around $840M, nearly 3x higher than a year ago!

However, it’s not so much the growth, as it is the force behind it. In early 2025, the RWA market on Arbitrum was largely a U.S Treasury story.

Now though, EU government bonds lead with about $374M in market cap, followed by U.S Treasuries at $178M, stocks at $171M, and commodities at $93M.

That’s important because now we know that Arbitrum’s RWA activity is becoming less dependent on one asset class.

$XRP continues to trade within a long-term structure amid years of market compression; still, analysts believe a price rally is coming.

This period of compression has cast doubt among several enthusiasts. However, a few such as Cryptollica remain optimistic. The analyst noted that $XRP is not dead but is gaining momentum to continue its “most hated rally” to higher price levels.

Arkham projects Bhutan will exhaust its reserves before the end of September if sales continue at the current pace.


Not everyone buys that timeline. Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO, said the projection assumes a steady rate of selling — but that is not how Bhutan has operated.

Sales started with 2,077 BTC worth $163 million in late 2024, followed by a $100 million tranche in September 2025, with quieter stretches in between.

Earlier this year, transfers picked up again. Reports indicate Bhutan moved over $120 million in Bitcoin during March alone, including a single transfer of 519.7 BTC valued at $36.75 million at the time. Coins are often routed through Singapore-based trading firm QCP Capital, according to reports.

Analysts say the pattern reflects a deliberate treasury approach. Lacie Zhang, a research analyst at Bitget Wallet, described the activity as an active sovereign strategy aimed at monetizing gains while keeping some long-term exposure.

Since the Bitcoin was mined at near-zero cost, every sale generates profit regardless of timing.

Crypto Ambitions Remain Intact
The sell-down has not slowed Bhutan’s broader push into digital assets. Gelephu Mindfulness City, a special administrative region in southern Bhutan, has been designated to hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB as strategic reserves.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck pledged up to 10,000 BTC — then worth around $1 billion — toward the city’s development in December 2025.

Nvidia shares climbed to a new all-time high Thursday after reports said the US cleared around 10 Chinese companies to buy its H200 AI chips, reopening a major sales opportunity in one of the world’s most important AI markets.
The stock rose nearly 4% Thursday and was trading near $234 at press time, helping lift Nvidia’s market value to about $5.7 trillion as the broader tech rally pushed the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to record intraday highs. The move extended Nvidia’s record run after the company crossed the $5.5 trillion market cap threshold earlier this week.

The US Commerce Department has approved around 10 Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, and JD.com, to purchase Nvidia’s H200 chips. Distributors including Lenovo and Foxconn have also received approvals, and each approved customer can buy up to 75,000 chips under the licensing terms.

No H200 deliveries have been made so far, leaving the deal in limbo despite the approvals. The delay reflects continued tension between Washington’s export control regime and Beijing’s push to reduce reliance on US technology while building domestic AI chip capacity.

The development comes as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang joins a US delegation in Beijing during high-level talks between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Huang was added to the trip after an invitation from Trump, raising investor hopes that the visit could help unlock the stalled chip sales.
