Strategy purchased more than $200 million in bitcoin last week

The latest purchase, funded through common and preferred stock sales, lifted total holdings to 720,737 coins valued at more than $47 billion.
Strategy purchased 3,015 bitcoin last week for approximately $204.1 million.

The company now holds 720,737 bitcoin acquired for about $54.77 billion.

The average purchase price across all holdings stands at roughly $75,985 per coin.
Strategy (MSTR), the world's largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin, expanded its position last week by acquiring 3,015 BTC for approximately $204.1 million, or an average price of $67,700 each.

Bitcoin is trading at $66,000 on Monday morning, with MSTR shares flat in early action.

To fund the buys, Strategy raised roughly $229.9 million through common stock sales, along with $7.1 million in net proceeds of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, STRC, according to a Monday filing.

Following the latest purchase, the company now holds 720,737 BTC acquired for roughly $54.77 billion, or an average price of approximately $75,985 per coin.

Sumvin announced the launch of its delegated finance platform built on Sei Network. The company develops AI tools for automated money management. It has raised over $1 million in a pre-seed round and is preparing a beta release in the second quarter of 2026.

The product functions as an AI financial assistant. Users define goals, spending limits, and preferences. The system then carries out actions within these rules. This may include automatic savings allocation, spending adjustments, or selected commerce transactions without repeated approval.

A core element of the platform is a reusable digital credential for verified users. The credential is cryptographically anchored and portable across services. It allows AI agents to confirm identity and authorization without repeated onboarding or fragmented checks.

The infrastructure is built on Sei Network, an open-source, high-performance blockchain infrastructure provider. The Sei Development Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the Sei ecosystem, is working with Sumvin on privacy-focused transaction tools, on-chain identity components, and programmable authorization systems for AI-based finance.

Hong Kong, Shanghai authorities to test blockchain for cargo trade data

Hong Kong and Shanghai authorities have agreed to deepen cooperation on using blockchain technology to streamline trade finance and cargo documentation, under a new partnership announced Monday.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Shanghai Data Bureau (SDB) and the National Technology Innovation Center for Blockchain (NTICBC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration in digitizing cargo trade and finance, according to the announcement.

The parties will conduct joint research on the benefits of developing a blockchain-based “cross-border platform” for interlinking trade data, electronic bill of lading and financial applications under the HKMA’s Project Ensemble, an initiative launched in 2024 to explore tokenized market infrastructure and new digital rails for financial services.

The project will use the HKMA’s blockchain-based financial data infrastructure, the Commercial Data Interchange, to explore trade finance through cargo and trade data. The HKMA launched the CDI in 2022 to enable institutional access to corporate data to streamline lending.

The partners also plan to draw on Project CargoX, an HKMA initiative built on the CDI that aims to strengthen trade and cargo data capabilities for financing and related services.
