Ripple’s new report, published on March 3, highlights the company’s efforts to build a unified payments platform that handles both traditional currencies and digital assets. The report outlined the firm’s progress in modernizing global payments using blockchain technology, underscoring a wider shift as stablecoins and digital assets like XRP become increasingly integrated into financial services.

Ripple describes payments as one of the most practical uses for cryptocurrency. The team emphasized that digital networks offer faster transfers, greater transparency, and improved efficiency compared to legacy systems like SWIFT, which often rely on multiple intermediaries. While the benefits of crypto technology are substantial, they stated that turning such capabilities into reality requires infrastructure designed to support large-scale financial activity.

To address this challenge, the company developed Ripple Payments. This end-to-end platform enables businesses to collect, store, exchange, and send value in fiat currencies, stablecoins, XRP, and other digital assets. The Ripple team stated that they had spent more than a decade building the foundation for its global payments network.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Shows 22% Upside Potential Following the Most 'Green' Week Since December 2025

The cryptocurrency Shiba Inu ($SHIB) has every chance to finish the second week of March as one of the beneficiaries of the relief rally that we are currently observing on the market. Since the beginning of the week, the token has already added almost 17% to its price and is trading at $0.00000618. For comparison, its value on Monday stood at $0.00000527.

However, as the current picture on the $SHIB price chart by TradingView suggests, the ceiling of growth has not yet been reached. Assessing the price from the perspective of the Bollinger Bands indicator, it can be said that further upside of around 22% still looks realistic for $SHIB.

Why Bollinger Bands signals more gains for Shiba Inu ($SHIB)

These figures are not out of thin air. Specifically, the 20-day moving average on the weekly time frame, which is fundamental for the Bollinger Bands, is currently located about 22% higher.

For those unfamiliar with the indicator, it works as a price corridor that allows one not only to determine which bias is currently prevailing for the asset but also to outline strong resistance and support levels based on historical price data. Supporting the idea that $SHIB may reach this level, which currently comes in around $0.00000760, is also the prevailing trend.
Since the moment Shiba Inu fell into the lower corridor of the Bollinger Bands on the price chart, which happened in September 2025, the token has tested this line twice. The first time was during the week of Oct. 6, and the second during the week of Jan. 5.

Adding fuel to the bullish forecast for $SHIB is the fact that the current week is the most "green" for Shiba Inu. The last time the token demonstrated similar growth figures was during a week in December 2025, when the price of $SHIB increased by 22.3% over seven days.

Bitcoin targets $73,000 as crypto bounces despite oil price jitters

Bitcoin is charging toward $73,000 amid a fresh decoupling from the stock market.

The surge in $BTC price comes despite fears around escalating oil prices.

Ethereum, $XRP, and Solana are also eyeing momentum as traditional assets falter.

Bitcoin climbed past $72,500 on Friday, extending gains ahead of the Wall Street open.

The cryptocurrency had earlier broken above $72,000 after buyers pushed it out of a consolidation range below $70,000.

The move came as digital assets appeared to shrug off a broader sell-off in equities.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading around $72,518, up roughly 4% over the past 24 hours.

The rally to intraday highs came even as Asian stocks declined and S&P 500 futures slipped amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

Ethereum followed Bitcoin higher, touching intraday highs near $2,157.

Other major altcoins, including $XRP, Solana, and BNB, also posted gains around key price levels.

On-chain data shows the Bitcoin spot volume has shown resilience recently while the rest of the cryptocurrency sector has seen a slump.

Altcoins Have Noted A Decline In Spot Activity Since Late January
As highlighted by on-chain analytics firm Glassnode in a new post on X, Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency market have diverged in terms of the spot trading volume.

The “spot trading volume” is a metric that measures, as its name suggests, the total amount of a given asset that’s becoming involved in trading activities in spot markets.

When the value of this indicator rises, it means more of the cryptocurrency is being shifted around on spot exchanges. Such a trend can be a sign that trading interest in the coin is going up.

On the other hand, the metric observing a decline suggests investor attention may be moving away from the asset as the amount of spot trades is trending down.

Now, here is the chart shared by Glassnode that shows the trend in the 7-day rolling mean value of the spot trading volume for Bitcoin, as well as combined that of the top 500 digital assets:

As is visible in the above graph, the aggregated spot volume for the top 500 cryptocurrencies has been on the way down since October of last year. This decline in trading activity has coincided with a drawdown for the market. Generally, periods with consolidation or bearish action tend to scare investors away, so the recent trend may not be surprising.

What’s interesting, however, is the trend followed by the spot volume of just Bitcoin. From the chart, it’s apparent that initially, the original cryptocurrency followed suit with the rest of the sector, but in February, its volume saw an uplift, including a huge spike that occurred alongside the sharp move down in the asset’s price.
