Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund shed $89.3 million, and Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF lost $28.2 million,
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $225.2 million in net inflows on Tuesday, pulled into positive territory by a single large entry from BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, according to SoSoValue data.

BlackRock's IBIT took in $322.4 million, more than covering outflows posted by two rival funds. Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund shed $89.3 million, and Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF lost $28.2 million, according to Farside data.

The day's result pushed the weekly total to $683.3 million, following last week's $787.3 million in inflows, which ended a five-week outflow streak that had totaled nearly $4 billion across BitcoinETF products.

Sentiment remained under pressure throughout the session. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to 19 on Wednesday, reflecting persistent unease tied in part to geopolitical tensions weighing on investors.

Outside of Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs moved into negative territory, posting $10.8 million in outflows. XRP and Solana funds held positive, adding $7.5 million and $1 million, respectively, suggesting selective appetite across altcoin-linked products.

Hedge fund manager Ray Dalio appeared on the All-In Podcast and criticized Bitcoin directly, pointing to limited privacy, exposure to quantum computing risk, and what he called a small market size relative to gold. "There is only one gold," Dalio said.

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan addressed the criticism directly in an X post, arguing that those same concerns explain why Bitcoin remains a fraction of gold's market cap. "These are the reasons Bitcoin is 4% the size of gold," Hougan said, adding that he expects each of those issues to be resolved over time.

Bitcoin traders, alert: The rally is nearing a two-year 'make or break' price zone

Bitcoin $BTC$72,554.23 is surging again and is nearing a key make-or-break level, demanding attention from traders.

The cryptocurrency's spot price has jumped a full 10% to trade above $72,000 this week, briefly popping above $73,900 on Wednesday, according to CoinDesk data. This impressive bounce, backed by ETF inflows, has fueled hopes of a renewed bull run, but the rally is now confronting a monumental challenge.

Prices are approaching a zone that has historically acted as a pivotal turning point, shaping the market’s direction over the past two years. It is a level where both uptrends and downtrends have previously run their course, and which was cited earlier this year as strong support or a potential demand zone, before it was ultimately breached.

That zone is roughly $73,750 to $74,400. To understand why it's significant, look back to the first quarter of 2024. The uptrend at that time, led by ETFs' debut in the U.S., ran out of steam, with buyer fatigue setting in right around the $73,750 mark. Prices then slipped, eventually hitting around $50,000 in the following months.

Conversely, in early April last year, the same zone performed a different, but equally decisive, role. It marked the exhaustion of a downtrend that began in February above $100,000, with selling finally drying up near $74,400. Prices turned higher in subsequent days, eventually hitting new highs above $126,000 in October.

Hence, this price zone was widely cited as a strong support, an area where buyers may step in arrest the slide early this year as bitcoin began falling. But to the dismay of bulls, prices slipped through early last month, leading to a deeper slide to nearly $60,000.

The Hong Kong–based firm suggested a “bullish risk reversal” strategy on Wednesday, which involves selling a put option (insurance against a downtrend) and using the premium earned to buy bullish call options – essentially funding bullish bets with income from put writing.

This way, the trader effectively pays little or nothing upfront while remaining exposed to a bitcoin rally.

It reflects a broader shift toward more sophisticated, options‑driven positioning, as traders look to stretch their capital further and fine‑tune their risk instead of just piling into spot or straightforward bullish leveraged bets.

A call option is a contract that lets the buyer bet the price of an asset will rise above a specific level, called the strike price, by a certain date. If the price climbs above that strike, the buyer can profit; if it doesn’t, they usually just lose the small fee they paid for the option. It's analogous to buying a lottery ticket.

A put option does the opposite. It lets the buyer set up protection against a potential drop in the asset below a specific strike price by a certain date. If it does, the put buyer stands to gain; if it doesn't, the entity stands to lose the initial premium paid. It's akin to buying insurance.

TDX’s suggested play combines the two in such a way that the trader becomes the seller of out‑of‑the‑money (OTM) puts (insurance) and collects the premium on one leg, then redeploys it to buy an OTM call on the other leg.
