BitMine has accumulated over 5.77 million $ETH coins, which are now valued at over $11 billion. This means that the company needs to buy 222,532 Ethereum coins, currently worth over $422 million. If the trend continues, it will hit its 6 million target in the coming months.

Completing the purchases will benefit BitMine’s shareholders in two main ways. First, it will likely conclude the dilution that has pushed its outstanding shares to 603 million from less than 239 million last year.

Robinhood Chain has become the leading blockchain by real-world asset (RWA) holder count. This comes less than a month after its public mainnet launch, and it marks a massive milestone in the company’s push into on-chain finance.

The network is an Ethereum layer 2, and it went live on July first. So far, it has surpassed established ecosystems despite its relatively short operating history, at least in this domain.

Unlike many blockchain projects that first focus on crypto-native users, Robinhood entered the industry with millions of existing brokerage customers. That distribution is obviously translating into rapid adoption of real-world assets (RWAs).

Data from RWA.xyz shows that Robinhood has accumulated almost 330,000 RWA holders, alongside $24.12 million in distributed asset value and over $20 million in represented asset value. The network hosts around 1900 tokenized assets, while monthly transfer volume stands at $750 million at the time of this writing.

It’s worth noting, however, that Ethereum dominates when it comes to total value. Almost $18 billion worth of RWA assets are hosted on the network. Second in line is $BNB Chain, followed by Solana.

This milestone comes as the platform continuously expands its tokenized stock offering across Europe. The network was designed specifically for regulated financial assets rather than general-purpose DeFi, which allows users to trade tokenized US equities and ETFs around the clock. Transactions are settled on Ethereum through Arbitrum technology.

Crypto investors are seeing a growing gap between how blockchain networks perform as businesses and how their tokens trade. Market data showed Maker’s Sky generated $210.9 million in revenue over the past 90 days, the highest among major protocols, even as its $SKY token fell 33.5%.

The disconnect stretched beyond the largest projects. Spark’s token dropped 55.3% while its revenue slipped just 2.6%, and Bittensor increased revenue 25.4% to $3.3 million despite its token losing 24.7%. The figures suggest protocol revenue is becoming less closely tied to token prices, even as investors continue to judge projects largely by market sentiment.
Sky Shows the Widest Fundamental Gap

Sky posted the strongest quarterly revenue growth among the 10 largest crypto projects, with revenue rising 74.2% from the previous quarter. Despite that performance, its $SKY token fell 24.5% over the past 90 days and 27.3% over the past year, creating the widest revenue-to-price gap in the group.

Investor Defi Rocketeer described $SKY as one of the clearest examples of strong protocol fundamentals failing to lift a token’s price. The analyst noted that Sky generated $420.6 million in trailing 12-month revenue, while annual revenue increased 11.2%.

Much of Sky’s income comes from stability fees and yields tied to real-world assets and US Treasuries. Even so, the stronger revenue has yet to translate into sustained gains for the token.

Bitcoin began as peer-to-peer electronic cash, but the market gave it a different job. Over the past decade, Bitcoin has become crypto’s benchmark investment asset: something to accumulate, custody, borrow against, and measure against. Stablecoins, meanwhile, became the industry’s practical payment rail.

That split made sense. Bitcoin’s volatility, confirmation times, and tax complexity made it awkward for everyday spending, while stablecoins offered the thing merchants and users actually needed: a familiar unit of account that could move quickly across digital rails. Bitcoin became the asset people did not want to spend. Stablecoins became the money they could.

The gap is becoming more visible as stablecoins move deeper into mainstream payment infrastructure. Visa said its stablecoin settlement pilot now supports nine blockchains and had reached a $7 billion annualized settlement run rate as of March 2026. That does not mean stablecoins have solved every payments problem, but it does show which part of crypto is being absorbed most quickly into commercial finance.

Bitcoin is now facing the opposite question. It does not need to prove that it can be held. It needs to prove that it can move in ways that create useful economic activity. More specifically, it raises a question for the companies that secure the network: can miners evolve from passive validators into active participants in Bitcoin’s payment economy?

BitMart to Shut Down Crypto Exchange After Nine Years as BMX Token Drops 58%

BitMart will shut down its crypto exchange services after nine years, ending trading services on August 26, 2026, before full closure in January 2027. The announcement triggered a sharp BMX token decline as users moved to close positions and withdraw assets.
Crypto exchange BitMart will close its trading platform after nine years of operation. The company will stop all trading on August 26, 2026, before ending platform operations on January 31, 2027.

BitMart announced the wind-down on Sunday after reviewing its business conditions, market environment, and plans. It did not name a specific financial, legal, or security issue behind the decision.

The exchange stopped new registrations, deposits, and new trading orders at 01:30 UTC on July 26. Futures accounts also moved into reduce-only mode, which allows users to close positions but blocks new ones.

BitMart said that all spot, futures, and other trading services will end at 01:00 UTC on August 26. Open futures positions may be settled by the platform if users do not close them before the deadline.

The company also advised users to complete identity checks, cancel open orders, and submit withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC on August 26. Accounts will remain accessible after trading ends, but later withdrawals may follow a separate review process.

“After a careful evaluation of the Company’s operating conditions, market environment, and future strategic direction, BitMart has made the difficult decision to commence an orderly wind-down,” the exchange said.

BitMart added that Earn, staking, lending, Launchpad, copy trading, grid trading, and automated services will close in stages. Separate notices will explain redemption dates for affected products.
