Price action suggests consolidation may continue through the third quarter between roughly $0.0228 and $0.0292. That range has repeatedly acted as a demand area during previous market cycles, making it a level traders are watching closely.

While the chart has weakened over the past year, recent ecosystem developments suggest network activity hasn’t stopped evolving.

AI Push Expands Across $XDC Network

The $XDC Network recently introduced $XDC AI, allowing AI agents to discover services, make gasless $USDC payments, and receive results autonomously. The framework is compatible with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Codex while enabling businesses to monetize tools through the x402 protocol.

Separately, $XDC’s co-founder demonstrated $XDC AI as a framework combining agentic AI, gasless $USDC payments and settlement on the $XDC Network, highlighting the project’s growing focus on autonomous commerce.

Infrastructure Keeps Building Despite Weak Price

Another ecosystem update came as Quote Trade added native support for $XDC Network and $USDC. According to the $XDC Foundation, the integration introduces a private execution venue for treasury operations, market making, hedging and AI-agent trading without relying on bridges or wrapped assets.

BitMart has started a phased shutdown of its global cryptocurrency exchange after reviewing its operating conditions, market environment, and future strategy.

According to the official shutdown notice, the exchange stopped new registrations, cryptocurrency and fiat deposits, and new spot orders from 01:30 UTC on July 26. Futures accounts entered reduce-only mode, while copy trading, grid trading, API trading, and other automated services began winding down.

The exchange will end all spot, futures, and other trading services at 01:00 UTC on August 26. However, the full platform will not close on that date. BitMart plans to terminate trading-platform operations at 15:59 UTC on January 31, 2027. Users will retain limited account access for a period after that date to review records and submit withdrawals.

BitMart told users to close all positions before 01:00 UTC on August 26 and recommended submitting withdrawals before 05:00 UTC the same day. Withdrawals remain open, but requests may face identity, source-of-funds, wallet ownership, sanctions, Travel Rule, and security reviews. Heavy demand or network congestion may extend processing times.

The exchange asked customers to cancel open orders, redeem eligible Earn, staking, and lending products, and download account records. BitMart may settle any futures positions still open when trading ends using its mark price, index price, or other applicable rules. Users who miss the recommended withdrawal period will enter a separate process that BitMart plans to explain later.

Bitcoin, Ethereum Edge Higher Despite Midweek Rally Losing Steam

Bitcoin and Ethereum ended the July 20-24 trading week modestly higher after strong midweek gains faded as investors turned cautious towards the weekend.

Bitcoin opened at around US$64,642 on July 20 before climbing to a weekly high of US$66,878 the following day. The largest cryptocurrency subsequently surrendered part of its gains, closing near US$65,225 on July 24 for a weekly increase of about 0.9%.

Ethereum, meanwhile, followed a similar but more volatile path, advancing from July 20's opening level of US$1,869 to a weekly peak of US$1,953 on July 22. Selling pressure later dragged the token back to around US$1,877 by July 24, leaving it with a narrower weekly gain of about 0.4%.

Bitcoin received support from renewed institutional demand, with US spot exchange-traded funds recording seven consecutive days of net inflows and helping lift prices towards US$67,000. However, the rally struggled to hold as a firmer US dollar and weaker risk appetite weighed on digital assets.

The week's performance showed that buyers remained willing to accumulate cryptocurrencies during price declines, but lacked sufficient conviction to sustain breakouts. Bitcoin's ability to hold above US$65,000 offered some resilience, while Ethereum's sharp retreat from US$1,950 highlighted continued selling pressure at higher levels.
