On the evening of March 13th, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) Board of Directors released a mission statement, "EF Mandate."

Upon opening this mission statement, you might wonder if you've stumbled into the wrong movie—the screen is filled with stars, elves, wizards, and an anime-style layout. Beneath this cool exterior lies the current "ideological framework" of the Ethereum ecosystem.

EF's core positioning: Guardian, not ruler. EF's ultimate goal is to pass the "walkaway test"—even if the Ethereum Foundation were to dissolve tomorrow, the Ethereum network would still function perfectly.

The CROPS rule is the bottom line: Any technological development must meet the requirements of Censorship Resistance, Open Source, Privacy, and Security. These four attributes are indispensable, and no development priority can supersede them.


 EF's philosophy: The Foundation's focus on simplicity allows Ethereum to become more resilient. As the ecosystem matures, the Ethereum Foundation will gradually relinquish control.

**Key principles:** It will not act as a "kingmaker," a rating agency, or a marketing ploy for hype and promotion. It also discourages treating Ethereum as a "gambling den."

**Ultimate vision:** Looking 1000 years into the future, it aims to provide a "digital sanctuary" free from exploitation by power, capital, AI, and even families.

**What problem does Ethereum ultimately solve?**

EF believes that two things are fundamental, infrastructure-level needs in the digital age: control over one's own data, identity, and assets (self-sovereignty), and the ability to collaborate without being "held hostage" by anyone (sovereignty-preserving coordination).

At a mediation on September 10, 2025, the parties agreed to a settlement in the amount of $60.5 million, which is subject to Court approval.”The settlement will give out funds to those who purchased Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold in California on or after March 2, 2015 if they were 29 years old or older. The crypto AI sector has posted a stellar performance recently.

CoinMarketCap data showed that the sector has gained 16% in cumulative market capitalization over the past week. Some of the leading tokens in this category have also posted massive gains.

The most notable among them were Bittensor [TAO] and Render [RENDER], which were up 54% and 42% for the week, respectively. By comparison, Artificial Superintelligence Alliance [FET] has managed a respectable 35.8% rally.
