That sounds impossible until you look at what actually moves price. Bitcoin has recently climbed more than 20% in days, while U.S. spot ETFs recorded about $1.92 billion of weekly inflows—the strongest week since October 2025.

But the hidden signal is not simply demand.

If long-term holders reduce selling, shorts are forced out and available liquidity becomes thinner, even existing demand can push BTC sharply higher. The market does not always need more buyers. Sometimes it needs fewer sellers.
