Mapping XDC’s breakout above KEY range – Can bulls hold above $0.037?

$XDC Network [$XDC] ranked as the day’s second‑highest gainer, even as the broader crypto market stayed flat. At press time, $XDC was up more than 14% in 24 hours, reversing its weekly loss into a 9% gain.

Fundamental and on-chain drivers of $XDC Network

$XDC’s short‑term surge was driven by its strategic partnership with Animoca Brands, a leading gaming and venture firm that will serve as an institutional masternode validator. According to Shanlong James Chen, Head of Asia at $XDC Network, the partnership brings funding support, particularly for builders on the chain.

Alongside this collaboration, network expansion was also crucial. For instance, the number of transactions in the past two weeks rose to 749K, as per $XDC Explorer. However, account growth has fallen sharply to zero from an average of 853K since mid-April.

The total stablecoin market cap on the network has also jumped by 49% in a week as of writing. It stood at $118 million, an addition of $39 million in this period. USDC dominates this cap with 98%.

The Total Value Locked (TVL) was also up by 12.40% to around $14.78 million in the past 24 hours. Its daily DEX volume was slightly higher than that of the previous day by around $40K, clocking in at about $356K.

Ripple CLO Alderoty says Clarity Act unlocks $2T market
Ripple CLO Stuart Alderoty says the Clarity Act could unlock a multi-trillion dollar US crypto market.

The Senate Banking Committee advanced the Clarity Act 15-9 on May 14, a bipartisan result that lifts the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act toward a full Senate floor vote.

“The Clarity Act isn’t about protecting an industry. It’s about protecting everyday Americans who deserve clear rules when they participate in the multi-trillion dollar crypto economy. 67 million Americans already hold crypto. The data is in. It’s time,” Ripple CLO Stuart Alderoty said in a post.

What the Clarity Act would actually do
The bill would establish which regulator — the SEC or the CFTC — has jurisdiction over specific digital assets, ending the enforcement-by-ambiguity approach that has defined US crypto oversight since 2017. Prediction market provider Polymarket filed to list parlays in sports event contracts in the U.S. on Wednesday, according to a self-certification filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Polymarket filed to list "combinatorial outcome contracts" on Wednesday, describing these event contracts — the official term for prediction markets — as combining two or more underlying contracts. Moreover, all of the underlying contracts would have to settle to the specific outcome that the user sets.

"Every outcome must be satisfied for the Contract to resolve to $1.00. The Contract resolves to $1.00 if and only if every leg is satisfied. If any single leg is not satisfied, the Contract resolves to $0.00, regardless of the outcomes of any remaining unsettled legs," the filing said.

Because the contract is self-certified, Polymarket is not so much asking for explicit permission to list these contracts as it is telling the CFTC that it intends to list these products. The document said it would list them "no earlier than May 21, 2026."

Another exhibit was filed but with Polymarket asking the CFTC to hold this exhibit as confidential due to possible trade secrets or commercial information, according to a second document.

The Securities and Exchange Commission, which doesn't directly oversee prediction markets, is looking into what an exchange-traded fund (ETF) around prediction markets might look like, Chairman Paul Atkins said in a statement on Wednesday.
