The Moving Averages remained bearish and could act as resistance to DOGE’s rally. The volume indicators also underlined seller dominance.

The A/D indicator continued to trend downward despite the bounce. At press time, the CMF was at -0.1 to show significant capital outflow in this timeframe, further cementing the long-term bearishness.

Meanwhile, the DMI had been showing a downtrend in progress, but this got messier toward the end of February. In the past two weeks, the indicator did not give a clear reading. This gave some faint hope of a trend shift.

BlackRock just figured out the one reason serious ETH holders would not touch their spot ETF.

When US regulators approved spot Ethereum ETFs in 2024, they excluded staking entirely from the products.

That meant anyone who moved their ETH into an ETF had to forgo their staking income to do so. For many holders, that was a dealbreaker, and they stayed out.

BlackRock just closed that gap. The firm launched the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ticker: ETHB) on Nasdaq this week, making it the third crypto ETF in its lineup, following IBIT for Bitcoin and ETHA for spot Ethereum.

First day trading volume came in above $15 million, which Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart called a very solid Day One for an ETF launch.
Here is how ETHB actually works. The fund holds spot ETH and stakes between 70% and 95% of those holdings through Coinbase Prime.

After Coinbase takes a 10% cut and BlackRock charges its 0.25% sponsor fee, investors walk away with roughly 82% of gross rewards paid out monthly, landing at a net yield of approximately 1.9% to 2.2%.

For the first year, BlackRock is offering a promotional fee of 0.12% on the first $2.5 billion in assets, undercutting most competitors on day one.

The supply side implication matters too. Staking locks ETH out of circulation. If ETHB scales to match ETHA’s $6.5 billion in assets, that represents a meaningful chunk of supply pulled off the market permanently.

Two weeks into a Middle Eastern war and bitcoin is higher than where it started.

The largest cryptocurrency was trading at $71,000 on Saturday morning, down 0.7% over the past 24 hours after the U.S. bombed military targets on Kharg Island, Iran's main crude export facility.

The reversal from Friday's $73,838 high was sharp but contained. Bitcoin gave back 3.5% on the Kharg headlines and stopped. A month ago, a comparable escalation would have triggered a much deeper sell-off.

The weekly numbers tell the resilience story. Bitcoin is up 4.2% over seven days. Ether gained 5.5% to $2,090. Dogecoin added 5%. Solana rose 4.2% to $88. BNB climbed 4.5% to $655. Every major is green on the week despite the war intensifying, not easing.

The market is adapting to the conflict in real time. Early in the war, every headline produced an outsized reaction because nobody could price the tail risk. Now, traders have a framework, where strikes happen, oil spikes and bitcoin dips only to recover again.

The pattern has repeated enough times that the reflexive sell-the-headline impulse has faded. However, the $73,000-$74,000 resistance level stays in place, and has now rejected bitcoin four times in two weeks.

Trump's language on Kharg Island added a new variable in the markets.

In a Truth Social post late Friday, he said he spared oil infrastructure "for reasons of decency" but would "immediately reconsider" if Iran continued blocking the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran responded that any strike on energy infrastructure would trigger retaliatory attacks on U.S.-linked facilities in the region. That's a conditional escalation threat that didn't exist 48 hours ago. If oil infrastructure becomes a target, the supply disruption, which the IEA already called the largest in

On March 11, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust pulled in $115.51 million in net inflows, accounting for nearly the entirety of the $115.42 million that flowed into US spot Bitcoin ETFs that day. Ethereum spot ETFs added $57 million separately.

The following morning, BlackRock did something it has not done with any previous crypto product. It launched a fund designed to pay investors while they wait.
The iShares Staked Ethereum Trust, trading under the ticker ETHB on Nasdaq, began trading on March 12. It is BlackRock's third crypto ETF and its first to incorporate staking.

Under normal market conditions, ETHB stakes between 70% and 95% of its ether holdings via Coinbase Prime. Investors receive approximately 82% of gross staking rewards, currently running at roughly 3.1% annually, distributed monthly. BlackRock and Coinbase retain 18% as a staking fee.

The fund charges a 0.25% sponsor fee, discounted to 0.12% for the first year on the first $2.5 billion in assets. It launched with just over $100 million in initial assets and recorded $15.5 million in first-day trading volume, which market watchers described as a solid debut for a new ETF.
