Russia introduces bill to criminalize unregistered crypto Russia’s government submitted a bill to its parliament’s lower house in an effort to amend the country's legal code to attach criminal liability for crypto services offered without regulatory approval or licensing.

In a draft law sent to the State Duma on Friday, Russian lawmakers proposed that entities "carrying out activities related to the organization of digital currency circulation,” that operate without a license from Russia’s central bank, could be subject to criminal liability.
Without registration with the Bank of Russia, individuals could face up to $4,000 in fines and up to four years in prison, or more severe penalties if part of an organized group.

The improvement in sentiment is largely driven by easing geopolitical tensions and a more stable macroeconomic outlook. At the same time, ongoing concerns around US debt demand and elevated long-term yields are putting pressure on the US dollar, making alternative assets more attractive. As a result, Bitcoin continues to benefit from capital rotation into the crypto market.

From a technical perspective, Bitcoin is currently trading within a defined range, with resistance forming above $75,000 and support near $72,000. Market data suggests that the current phase is characterized by liquidity redistribution rather than a strong directional trend, indicating that the market is building a new equilibrium before making its next major move.

Additionally, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has further boosted market confidence by reducing fears of global supply disruptions. Following this development, Bitcoin surged above $77,000, while oil prices declined sharply. #A U.S. trade tribunal sided with Apple on Friday, rejecting Masimo Corporation's push to reinstate an import ban on Apple Watch. The U.S. International Trade Commission chose not to review an earlier judge's ruling that Apple's redesigned smartwatches no longer violate Masimo's patents covering blood-oxygen monitoring technology, effectively closing the case at the commission level.Masimo, now owned by Danaher, retains the option to appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington. The company declined to issue a public statement following the decision. Apple, however, was vocal in its response. "We thank the ITC for its decision, which ensures we can continue to offer this important health feature to our users," the company said, adding that Masimo had spent over six years pursuing legal action, with nearly all of its claims ultimately failing.The legal battle between the two companies stretches back years, rooted in Masimo's allegations that Apple poached key engineers to gain access to proprietary pulse-oximetry technology used for measuring blood oxygen levels. That dispute led to a significant setback for Apple in December 2023, when the ITC blocked imports of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 after determining they infringed Masimo's patents. To sidestep the ban, Apple temporarily disabled the blood-oxygen feature before reintroducing a redesigned version last August following clearance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The updated watches now display blood-oxygen data on paired iPhones rather than directly on the watch face.Masimo continues to fight on multiple fronts. BlackRock clients have added nearly $284 million worth of Bitcoin exposure in a single day. The inflow came through BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, showing strong institutional demand.

This move did not happen in isolation. Total Bitcoin ETF inflows reached about $663 million on the same day. That marks the highest daily inflow in nearly three months. As a result, the market is once again focusing on institutional activity.

Institutional Demand Picks Up

BlackRock’s ETF led the inflows with nearly $284 million. This makes it the top contributor for the day. At the same time, other major players also joined in. Fidelity and ARK added strong inflows as well. Together, these firms pushed total ETF demand much higher.

This steady buying shows that institutions are still accumulating Bitcoin. Moreover, this is not a one-day trend. ETF inflows have remained positive for several days in a row. This consistency adds confidence to the market.
