MemeCore: 2 bullish indicators suggest M’s $3.00 floor will hold


MemeCore faced strong rejection at $4.7, then breached $4 support and fell to a local low of $3.2. At press time, token M traded at $3.4, down 24.09% on the daily charts.

Over the same period, the memecoin’s market cap dropped from $6 billion to $4.4 billion, signaling massive capital outflow.

Prior to this drop, MemeCore had been on a strong upward trajectory, as AMBCrypto reported earlier, rising 28% on weekly charts.

MemeCore traders reduce risk exposure

As the market trend signaled a downside reversal, traders in futures markets became pessimistic and began closing positions. Risk-off sentiment led to significant capital outflows from the market.

In fact, Open Interest [OI] dropped by 21% to $107 million according to CoinGlass Data. However, Derivatives Volume rose 28% to $228 million.

The exploit was executed via a call to the “Iz Receive” function on LayerZero’s EndpointV2, which ultimately triggered the release of funds to an attacker-controlled wallet. On-chain sleuth ZachXBT was among the first to uncover the breach, estimating losses exceeding $280 million across Ethereum and Arbitrum. The blockchain investigator also noted that the attack addresses had been initially funded via Tornado Cash, indicating a deliberate effort to conceal the funding sources for the highly coordinated attack. Ethereum and XRP ETFs followed with steady inflows, reflecting renewed investor interest across crypto markets. Rising ETF demand coincides with improved sentiment but ongoing geopolitical uncertainty still affects market stability. Data shows that nearly $1 billion entered these funds over the past week, marking the best performance since mid-January. April 17 stood out as the most active day, with over $663 million in net inflows. Among the leading products, BlackRock’s IBIT attracted the largest share, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC. This pattern reflects renewed investor activity after a period of lower demand. Ethereum ETFs maintain positive momentum Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds also posted consistent inflows during the same period. The funds extended a multi-day streak of positive performance, supported by ongoing market recovery. Over the past week, Ethereum ETFs recorded more than $275 million in inflows. This represents the highest weekly total since January for these products. Fidelity’s FETH led the inflows among Ethereum funds, followed by BlackRock’s ETHA. Other products also contributed smaller amounts, maintaining overall positive movement. XRP and other assets see increased interest XRP-linked exchange-traded funds also recorded notable gains. A breach at web infrastructure provider Vercel is forcing crypto teams to rotate API keys and do a deep inspection of their underlying code.

In a bulletin, Vercel said the hacker was able to grab behind-the-scenes settings that weren't locked down, potentially exposing API keys — the digital credentials apps use to connect to other services. Those credentials act like digital passwords, allowing software to connect to databases, crypto wallets, and external services. In the wrong hands, they can be used to impersonate an app, burn through usage limits, or manipulate how it runs.

A post on cybercrime forum BreachForums claimed to be selling Vercel data for $2 million, including access keys and source code, though those claims have not been independently verified. Vercel said it has engaged incident response firms and law enforcement and is continuing to investigate whether any data was exfiltrated.

The company traced the intrusion to Context.ai, a third-party AI tool used by an employee, its CEO said in an X post, where a compromised Google Workspace connection allowed attackers to escalate access into Vercel’s internal environments. Vercel said environment variables marked as “sensitive” are stored in a way that prevents them from being read, and that there is no evidence that they were accessed.

The incident is drawing scrutiny because Vercel underpins frontend infrastructure for many crypto applications and is the primary steward of Next.js, one of the most widely used web development frameworks. Many Web3 teams host wallet interfaces and decentralized app dashboards on Vercel, relying on environment variables to store credentials that connect their frontends to blockchain data providers and backend services.
