Bitcoin stalls below $76,000 as sell wall caps rally despite rising derivatives activity

Bitcoin is testing $76,000 for a third day, trading at $75,440 as bullish traders continue to chip away at $450 million of sell orders between $75,900 and $76,300, CoinGlass data shows.

The orders will be placed by traders who are either attempting to short the range-high in expectation of a reversion to around $68,000, and those defending against a breakout with liquidation risk above.

XRP News: XRPL Validators Vote On New Lending Protocol Update
XRP Ledger has opened voting on XLS-65 and XLS-66 to allow lending and single asset vaults.

Recent developer tests found 'no issues' in the proposed XRP Ledger Lending protocol amendment.

However, the final implementation depends on consensus vote, which is currently ongoing.

Ripple-backed $XRP Ledger validators are moving to vote on two new amendments, XLS-65 and XLS-66, leading to $XRP news headlines. If approved, these proposals would add a native lending model and asset vault model.
The suggested ‘XLS-66 Lending Protocol’ aims to facilitate “on-chain, fixed-term, uncollateralized loans using pooled funds from a Single Asset Vault.” The overview of the amendment notes that the model is based on off-chain underwriting and risk management to determine the creditworthiness of the borrowers with configurability of on-chain peer-to-peer loans. Currently, the proposal is on the list of “Open for Voting” for XRPL upgrades.

At the early stage of the conflict, markets reacted sharply. Iranian exchanges saw a sudden surge in outflows as uncertainty escalated, with large volumes of capital quickly shifting out of local platforms. A significant share moved into self-custody wallets, as ordinary people sought to protect their savings amid currency instability and rising geopolitical risk. Bitcoin also experienced intense volatility. It dropped sharply in the initial shock, briefly falling by nearly 24%, before recovering as liquidity conditions tightened across traditional markets.
