Ethereum price, just like any other major alt, is hovering and holding the bullish prediction. The network also reminds us that ETH has never once stopped producing blocks.

At BUIDL Asia 2026, Ethereum Foundation researcher Luca Zanolini confirmed a roadmap target to reduce transaction finality to under one minute. Meanwhile, the long-to-short ratio sits at 1.54, a quiet signal that smart money is accumulating while retail hesitates.

Zanolini’s remarks, delivered April 17 at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul, cut to the heart of Ethereum’s design philosophy.

“Ethereum was designed to keep producing blocks even if participation drops,” he said. “The next challenge is to preserve that feature while reducing transaction finality to less than one minute.”

In 2023, Ethereum kept producing blocks uninterrupted even after client errors knocked more than half of all validators offline. The finality improvement carries a 2029–2030 implementation target, and the fundamental thesis is getting reinforced.

Ethereum Price Prediction: $2,420 the Target

ETH has traded in a tight bullish range between $2,285 and $2,360 over the past 24 hours, with 24-hour trading volume exceeding $18 billion. This figure reflects active participation at these levels, without liquidity drifting lower. The funding rate is essentially neutral at 0.0001%, suggesting no extreme leverage in either direction.

The critical support zone is $2,250. As long as ETH holds above that floor, the technical structure favors a push toward $2,420 resistance. A clean break above $2,420 opens the path to $2,870, a level that would approach territory last seen before the drawdown from ETH’s all-time high of $4,950. T

On April 17, Chainlink ($LINK) price soared by around 6.45% following a bullish sentiment in the crypto market after Bitcoin ($BTC) rallied near $78,000 on a daily chart.

According to CoinMarketCap, $LINK is currently trading at around $9.81, around its monthly high, thanks to its whopping market capitalization of $7.11 billion. The daily trading volume also soared by around $807.25 million

The surge in $LINK $LINK3.33% happened after a wider bullish sentiment across the cryptocurrency market. On April 17, Bitcoin soared near $78,000 with 5% gain in the last 24 hours. This rally in $BTC has also triggered correlation in other altcoins as investors and crypto enthusiasts are seeing it as a positive macroeconomic development.

Apart from this, there is a major development in the peace deal between the U.S. and Iran. As per the latest update, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in the official post on X that “passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of the ceasefire.”

Stellar ($XLM) price trades slightly down at $0.167 on Friday, after breaking above the descending trendline and rallying over 10% so far this week. The bullish sentiment builds as $XLM’s network transactions reach a quarterly high, alongside positive funding rates and bullish momentum indicators.

Surge in network activity

Chainspect, a blockchain fundamentals tracker, data shows that Stellar processed over 14.19 million transactions on Thursday, its highest level in the past quarter. These surging transactions highlight increased interest and liquidity among traders in the $XLM, supporting a bullish outlook.

On the derivative side, $XLM funding rates have also flipped positive on Monday and read at 0.011% on Friday, indicating the longs are paying the shorts. Historically, when funding rates have turned positive and surged, $XLM price has rallied sharply.

$XLM Price Forecast: Price action shows a bullish breakout in play

Stellar price is trading at $0.166 on Friday, after breaking above the descending trendline at $0.1580 the previous day. $XLM is maintaining a corrective tone below the medium- and long-term Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) as the current price remains capped beneath the 100-day EMA at $0.180 and well under the 200-day EMA at $0.215.

The 50-day EMA at $0.164 now offers nearby dynamic support, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) around 55 and a slightly positive Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) histogram hint that downside momentum has faded but not yet flipped the structure.

With Bitcoin trading around $77,000, XRP is showing relative resilience, holding above $1.40. According to TradingView, the XRP/BTC rate stands near 0.00001920 BTC, placing it directly within a long-term historical support area that is now drawing increased market attention.
Short-term strength vs long-term pressure
Over the past week, XRP has gained roughly 10%, reaching $1.44 — its strongest weekly performance since January and temporarily outperforming both Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, the broader XRP/BTC structure still reflects caution, as a “death cross” remains in play with key moving averages positioned above price.
Key level to watch: 0.00001921 BTC
The most important support level is 0.00001921 BTC. A weekly close below this zone could reinforce bearish continuation and extend XRP’s underperformance against Bitcoin. In contrast, holding this level could establish a base for a potential reversal and renewed upside momentum.
Fundamental drivers are building
Despite technical pressure, several fundamental factors are helping support sentiment:

SEC Has Issued a New Official Green Light for Cryptocurrencies

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has formally approved a rule change proposal submitted by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) that aims to create a new trading mechanism for “tokenized securities.”

The proposal, outlined in document number 34-105260, is considered a critical step towards integrating traditional finance with blockchain technology.

According to the proposal, the NYSE plans to introduce a new regulation called “Rule 7.50,” allowing eligible securities to be traded in both traditional and blockchain-based “tokenized” forms. This structure will be implemented within the scope of the DTC pilot program under the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

In the new system, tokenized securities will share the same trading code (CUSIP) and ownership structure as traditional shares. This will ensure full fungibility between the two forms. Furthermore, on the matching engine side, tokenized assets will be subject to the same priority rules as traditional shares and will not experience any disadvantage in trading order.

Market participants can choose to have transactions executed on the blockchain via a “tokenization flag” that they can use when placing orders. Technical and operational processes will be handled by authorized custodians.

NYSE’s proposal isn’t limited to the trading side alone. The exchange is also making changes to order queuing, routing, and clearing rules, aiming to seamlessly integrate tokenized securities into its existing market infrastructure.
