International Finance Bank (IFB) presentation confirms XRP’s role as a payment rail within the ILP Stream Protocol, highlighting its integration into institutional cross-border payment infrastructure. 

A newly surfaced internal presentation from International Finance Bank (IFB), highlighted by crypto researcher SMQKE, is reinforcing a growing narrative that XRP goes beyond theory, positioning it as a live payment rail within the Interledger Protocol (ILP) rather than just a conceptual banking framework. 
The document, prepared for IFB’s technical and risk teams, details how banks can integrate with Ripple’s ILP framework. It highlights the STREAM protocol as a core layer enabling real-time value and data transfer across disparate ledgers. 

Notably, XRP is explicitly identified as the settlement mechanism powering that exchange of value. 

This distinction is important because ILP is built to be asset-agnostic, routing value across different currencies and networks. 

Nevertheless, IFB’s implementation points to a more specific role for XRP within STREAM, functioning as the bridge asset that moves value between systems. In practice, it serves as the liquidity layer that enables fast, efficient settlement across otherwise disconnected networks.

XRP gained $55.39 million and Solana $35.17 million, signaling broader ETF participation across ETFs.

Momentum returned quietly, but it did not stay that way. By the end of the week, crypto ETFs had delivered one of their strongest collective performances in recent months, with capital flowing steadily back into the sector and conviction building across multiple assets.

Bitcoin spot ETFs led the charge, recording $996.38 million in net inflows and marking a third consecutive week of gains. The headline number, however, masked a volatile start. Monday opened with a sharp $291 million outflow, driven largely by heavy redemptions from Fidelity’s FBTC and Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB.

That weakness proved temporary. From Tuesday onward, flows turned decisively positive, culminating in a $663.91 million surge on Friday that pushed total net assets back above $100 billion. Blackrock’s IBIT dominated the week, attracting $906.1 million and acting as the primary engine of demand. Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB rebounded strongly to finish with $98.5 million in inflows, while Bitwise’s BITB added $54.1 million.Morgan Stanley’s MSBT emerged as a notable new force. The fund extended its inflow streak to eight consecutive days, accumulating $71.1 million for the week and $133 million since launch, with an average daily inflow of $16.6 million. Its competitive 14 basis point fee structure is already raising questions about how incumbents may respond.

Since the start of the month, XRP has largely moved sideways, failing to establish higher highs despite multiple attempts to break out.

This lack of follow-through highlights a market driven by external momentum rather than internal strength. Buyers are active, but not aggressive enough to reclaim supply zones, keeping the price capped below resistance. As a result, XRP remains in a range-bound structure with a bearish tilt, where rallies are being sold into rather than sustained.

Is XRP Price Losing the Momentum?
The daily chart highlights a clear range-bound structure, with XRP price trading between a well-defined resistance near $1.45 and support around $1.05. Price action has repeatedly tested the upper boundary but failed to sustain a breakout, reinforcing this zone as a strong supply area where sellers continue to dominate. The price continues to respect the descending trendline near the $1.48–$1.50 region, while the lower boundary is gradually rising from the $1.12 lows, creating a squeeze in price action.

Bitcoin breaks out of months-long range on Iran ceasefire extension

Bitcoin just did something it hasn’t managed in months: it broke free.

After spending nearly three months pinned between $65K and $75K, $BTC surged past $79K on Wednesday, riding a wave of geopolitical relief after President Trump extended the US ceasefire with Iran just hours before the two-week deal was set to expire. The timing was, as they say, not subtle.

What happened

The ceasefire extension removed what traders had been pricing in as an imminent risk. An expiring deal with Iran, left to lapse, would have injected fresh uncertainty into energy markets and the broader risk landscape. Instead, the renewal acted like a release valve.

Bitcoin climbed 4.3% in 24 hours and 6.6% over the past week, pushing to levels not seen since early February. Ethereum followed closely, gaining 4.2% to reach $2,400. Solana rose 3.1% to $89, and $XRP held steady near $1.45.

Traditional markets moved in lockstep. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq both posted gains Wednesday morning, confirming this wasn’t a crypto-specific phenomenon. Risk assets across the board got the green light.

Here’s the thing: Bitcoin had been stuck in that $65K-$75K range since early February. That’s roughly 10 weeks of sideways price action, the kind of extended consolidation that tends to resolve violently in one direction or the other. This time, it resolved upward.
